Happy Tuesday! Today I am sharing a card that I fought to finish! LOL! I kept having mishaps/mistakes, but in the end, I prevailed and finished it! (I won’t tell you how long that took!)
I was all done with the Copic coloring and dropped water on the camper while making the background with Distress Inks. Hence, making the decision where the sentiment would go! Haaaaa! Usually I’m super careful, but….. well, you should see my desk this week. Yikes. *rolls eyes*
I’ll spare you all the other flubs, but man, sometimes projects test you, don’t they? And the debate about using the grill or not using the grill went on for several minutes. In the end, I decided these campers were hungry. 😉
For this card, I used the fabulously fun Avery Elle set Glamper Campers! Oh my word, this set! ❤ (That flamingo alone! I want to make a card with just that little fella!) I have been pining for it, and finally used a friend’s set back in April. I stamped and die cut a bunch of images then. Now I am ready to make more. Saves a lot of time later! Except when you keep making a mess! LOL. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Trails!
Hope your weekend is going swimmingly! We are having low 70’s temps (and a nice breeze) this weekend and I could not be happier! It’s a welcome relief to the heat. I wish I could bottle it up. 🙂
Anywho–I have had this Bon Voyage stamp and die set on my desk for months. I finally got to it last night. 🙂 I really wanted to make some happy clouds!
I brushed on some Distress Inks to create the background. I quick Googled Sunset images and found this photo below to inspire my color choices. When I find inspiration, I usually just look at it and get to work. I use it for the jump start and don’t refer back, but I see now there is a lot more blue in this photo. 😉Photo Credit HERE.
I used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor this airplane on Bristol paper. You can BARELY tell it is even colored in these photos, so I guess I could have gone a notch darker? I also added some glossy accents to the plane, and those are next to invisible! Haaaa!! I was trying to keep the focus on the clouds. I’m not sure if I succeeded in the end. LOL!
I used the following Lawn Fawn sets: Bon Voyage, Chit Chat (a long time LF fave!), and Thanks a Bushel for all the happy faces!
I’m entering this in the fun over at Lawn Fawnatics! This is for this Challenge #7 HERE!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Thank you for stopping by! 🙂
Have a great week!
Happy Monday! ❤
I thought I’d pop in and share the card I made for my son this week. He has 12 days left of kindergarten ( 😦 TOO FAST!), and you’d think it was more like 100 days. LOL 🙂 He’s ready to bust out for SURE!
You should also know that he adores stuffies, his favorite color has always been orange, and these claw games memorize him! Of course, we don’t play them, so this is the next best thing. 🙂 Well, in my mind anyway! Bwwwhaaahaa!
This new set from Lawn Fawn, You’re Claw-some, was a must have here. For all the reasons stated above! 🙂 It is just tooooo cute!
I used my Zig Clean Color markers to watercolor this on Bristol paper. The patterned paper was a bonus I received in one of my Lawn Fawn packages (Thank you, LF!). The background is stamped repeatedly with the stars/hearts from this set. I just randomly colored in a few my Copics, to add a little interest. I finished it off with some stitching and Wink of Stella sparkle.
Also, I am finally getting around to entering the fun over at Lawn Fawnatics! This is for this Challenge #5 HERE! Play along, there is lots of time left!
So spunky and cute! I chose to use the orange, blue, and a touch of green & red. I actually colored the unicorn pink/purple that goes with this set, but he was left off this card. Likely to hop on another one soon!
Have a great week!
Happy Easter! I hope those who celebrate had a wonderful Easter! Our weather was unreal here today, and I can’t remember a nicer Easter day, weather wise.
I thought I’d pop in to share some more fun from this month’s Technique Tuesday release! They can be found HERE!
I used purple and it all turned out OK! LOL! I am not a huge fan of purple, but I did try to it give it a few nods last month. Too funny!
This card uses the new fun set, Bunny Owl. (You cannot beat this price point for a cute lil’ set!)
I also used the new Kids Are Cool stamp set, which I ❤ ,and need more time in the day to use all the stamps there! 🙂 I think if you journal or scrapbook, this set would be extra perfecto for you!I also used the Memo Pad Card die. This die never fails me. 🙂 I used my Zig pens to watercolor this cutie, and added some googley eyes, of course.
And while we are here, enjoying some spring cards, I thought I’d share this silly one I made using the Bailey the Bunny stamp set. That tooshie is the best!
I was definitely doing some snickering while making this lil’ nutty one! 🙂
This sentiment is from Sassy Family. If you haven’t checked out the latest series of stamps in the “Sassy” line, I recommend them highly. I think they are super funny!! I love to send cards with laughs. 🙂 These bunnies were colored with Copic markers.
Here’s to everyone having a great week! I’m hoping to catch up on some stuff sometime this week? Yikes– I’m a bit behind on things–no pun intended! Haaaa!
Happy April! It’s no joke that there are lots new stamps and dies from Technique Tuesday today! They can be found HERE!
This new Mother’s Day set, Flowers for Mom, is simple and fun to use! I love this flower! ❤ ! And I have a difficult time using flowers, so this is a big win for me!
I colored these with Prismacolor colored pencils after heat embossing the images.
Love the simplicity. There is also a great die, Flowers for Mom die (check it out HERE) that will be fun to use in conjunction with this set and several others. ❤
I made this next card with the new Memory Keeper’s stamp set, Priceless. It’s got lots of stampy goodness included.
For this card, I masked off the border and used Distress Inks to watercolor, Patiently waiting for it to dry is the hardest part. I want to keep messing with the colors and moving them around. But the trick is to stop and let it DRY! 🙂 I used foam tape to pop up the middle of this sentiment banner, giving it a bowed look. I made this card to give for Mom’s day too. Moms are truly priceless. 🙂
Be sure to check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE! I am looking forward to making a few more things to share later this month 🙂
Wishing you a BRIGHT April!! Thanks for stopping by! ❤
Happy National Craft Month to all my fellow crafties out there! I am excited to be joining the Blog Hop for Right at Home to celebrate this crafty month of ours, and this SUPER FUN new set of theirs: Make Something Beautiful! 🙂 There is a whole month to celebrate Crafts!
I truly love this sentiment because it is sooooo true! I end most days at my desk to make something. It is definitely my destressification. (Yup, that’s a word. 😉 )
I white heat embossed these crafty scissors and then used Distress Inks for the happy watercolors. I cannot avoid a rainbow! 🙂
This is such a fantastic set to make fun things for other creative friends… or hey, make something for yourself and keep it! 🙂 This card may need to stay with me? 😉
Hop along further, with some of my crafty friends ❤️! Here is the full lineup below (and a giveaway chance!):

Happy Thursday! Thought I’d pop in quick with the finished card I started for The Daily Marker 30 Day challenge! 🙂
This is a great woodblock stamp of Chicago by Hero Arts. 🙂 It is called Destination Chicago.
I used Distress Inks for these colors. I think I’m trying to combat the winter blues with rainbows lately 😉 . I like the way it turned out in the end. And as I’ve said many a times, you just NEVER know with watercolors! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by!
