*Technique Tuesday and MISTI!* (pssst….Giveaway!)

Good Morning and Happy Weekend!! Today, we are having a fun blog hop between the My Sweet Petunia and Technique Tuesday! Whooohoooo! A perfect pairing of two of my most used companies. ๐Ÿ™‚ Buckle up, there are prizes!!

On with my card, yes?

For this card, I used Technique Tuesday’s Happy Happy Happy Stamp set and Man Day stamps for the Birthday sentiment stamp. I stamped and heat embossed them in white, easily spacing them straight with MISTI. After that, I used my Kuretake pearl palette of sparkly watercolors from Kuretake. (This set HERE is a larger solid color set.)

Anywho, I polished off this card with a few Pretty Pink Posh confetti sequins and and some stitching.

Now, let’s chat about the Most Incredible Stamping Tool Invented from My Sweet Petunia! I gave my standard MISTI a little tune up and I am really loving it! First, you should know that I use my MISTIsย  “backwards”. So, when I saw that you can replace your ruler strips with not only other colors, but that I could also have my numbers in the correct direction, I was all over it. You can check those options out HERE. (There are also turquoise replacement rulers.) Now I just need to retrofit my Mini MISTI!

Then I decided to add the Mouse Pad to my MISTI. I recommend this for quick clean up and ease. I’ll still use my grid papers (those are HERE), but this has made everything look cleaner overall. Highly enjoyable! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ok, I mentioned prizes! Here’s the details: Two lucky commenters will be chosen from theย hopย to win one of two prizes: a $50 shopping spree atย www.mysweetpetunia.comย and a $50 shopping spree atย www.techniquetuesday.comย – You must leave your comments no later than Monday, May 28th, at 11:59 PM Central time and winners will be announced on Tuesday May 29th, on theย Technique Tuesdayย and My Sweet Petuniaย blogs.ย
Next on the hop, you’re going to head over to Susan Wymer‘s blog and see what she has in store! It is surely worth the hop over! ๐Ÿ™‚
Here’s the list of all the fun stops today! Be sure to hop along and leave comments for your chances at the prizes above! ๐Ÿ™‚
Good luck and have a wonderful weekend! Hope it includes some stamping! ๐Ÿ™‚

Grandparents

Yay for all the new April Technique Tuesday products available HERE! I had to make a card with THIS fun new TT flower set called Just Us Girls. This great sentiment is from the very sweet Grandma Blessings Stamps set.

I just enjoy these little whimsy flowers all grouped up together! Such fun! I colored them with Zig Clean Color markers and whipped them into a bit of watercolor. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and foam tape to adhere them. I put a few dollops of clear Nuvo drops to finish it off. I like how bright and cheerful it turned out overall. And then I popped this directly in the mail! ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope it arrived swiftly. โค

I have a few more cards using this Just Us Girls set, but I need to finish them. So we’ll see if I can get those buttoned up to share one day too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ We need more hours in the day sometimes, don’t we?!

Thanks for stopping by again today!

Good Vibes Only

Have you seen this month’s Pin-Sights Challenge over on Ellen Hutson? It’s good. Let me show you:

oooooooo so fun! I have been wanting to play along and finally got around to feeling good and made one last night. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s my card:

How cute are these guys, weathering the storm? โค

I made this card using Ellen Hutson’s super cute sets: Totally Random Sayings Vol. 1 by Julie Ebersole, Bear Ware (and dies) Bear Ware 2 (and dies). I also used Neat & Tangled’s Geometric Blooms stencil to add a smidge of background.

I watercolored these images with Distress Inks and added some stitching. ๐Ÿ™‚

I hope you have time to jump in on this current EH Challenge too! I’d love to sneak another one in, but that could be a pipe dream. Ha!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Technique Tuesday Release Day!

The day has come for all the new Technique Tuesday March products to be available HERE! Hoooooray! AND I get to share my favorite card from this release! โค

(If you missed my post Tuesday, click HERE. If you missed my post yesterday, catch up on that one HERE!)

As I said, this is my favorite card, because I am always a huge fan of the laughs the Sassy sets bring me! ๐Ÿ™‚ This card was made with the new Technique Tuesday stamp set: Sassy Love Your Guts. And the coordinating dies for this stamp set are HERE.

I mean, if this sentiment does say I love your guts, what does?! Haaaaa! I think it’s a riot! ๐Ÿ™‚

For the background of this card, I again blended on Distress Oxide inks and added some splatters. (Sensing a pattern this month, are you? LOL!) I colored the fun jellyfish with Zig Clean Color markers and white heat embossed the sentiment on a black piece of cardstock. I adhered all the jellies with foam tape for dimension, added a few sequins and stitched the panel down. I can’t wait to give this one to my husband. Bwaaaahaaahaa!

Be sure to head over the Technique Tuesday Blog HERE so you can link to the whole TT DT’s Sneaks! I imagine they are all pin worthy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Eeeeps! Cutie little birds! I created a quick and simple Distress Ink watercolor back drop and when that dried, I stamped the birds in Versafine Black. I added some wonky stitches under their feet and sewed the watercolor panel onto the card front. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the simple typed font with the curly script words! Delightful! ๐Ÿ™‚

This little bird I stamped on three same size pieces of cardstock and pieced them together. I added  a couple black strips and some stitching and Voila! ๐Ÿ™‚ SMILE! I love these kind of cards and I love to mail them!

These little birdies have coordinating dies, and those can be found HERE. I don’t have them, but I think they would be fun to use to layer up these little birds in flocks! ๐Ÿ™‚

While I have you, I thought it would be fun to share a couple coffee cards I made with TT’s new October goodies!

I just love how simple this first card is and how it turned out! I wish I have made a few more at the time.  ๐Ÿ™‚ I just used Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment ink on black paper to stamp this awesome coffee cup from the NEW Perk Up Stamp set.

This sentiment is from the Sassy Coffee set! Oh my word–these Sassy sets that Teri Anderson creates keep me cracking up time after time. I just think they are all a riot and can be found HERE.

This next card uses the same Sassy Coffee set, but over and over. Because I feel like that just needs repeating. ๐Ÿ™‚

I stamped the cute smiley coffee cup from the same set. You know I love any inanimate object that smiles. ๐Ÿ™‚ Haaaa!

I hope you are able to carve some time out today and create. I’m likely to do mine late tonight when our son goes to bed. But that’s normal. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a great weekend and be sure to check out the new stuff from Technique Tuesday HERE!  ๐Ÿ™‚ Including this new Chickadees 2.0 WCMD set!

Take care- Jill ๐Ÿ™‚
