May the Fork Be With You!

In case you missed it, Ellen Hutson has a new Release available now and it’sΒ  delightful,Β  asΒ  always! I have been having a lot of fun with it. These simple little cards are fun to make. And as simple as they are, they tend to take awhile to design. πŸ˜„ But to be fair, I am not the fastest at much of anything. πŸ˜‰

Once again, I used these new sets for this card: Bear Ware Dress Up Sentiments, Bear Ware Dress Up 2, Bear Ware Dress Up 2 dies, Bear Ware Dress Up 1, and Bear Ware Dress Up 1 Dies. I colored everything with Copic Markers. And of course, the All Inside bear to hold all the forks together. ❀

I also used the previously release Bear Ware 4, Bear Ware 4 Dies and the Wonky Backdrops.

I cannot wait to send this to a friend on May 4th!! Tooooo Funny!!

I hope you also got a laugh out of this one… check out my other card from this past weekend HERE. I love puns. Just so fun!!

Check out the whole NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson!!

Summer of Stamping: Ellen Hutson New Release!

Exciting day today over at Ellen Hutson–It’s a new week in the Summer of Stamping! Just fun summery goodness available now! And I made a few cards to kick things off.Β  You can find all the new (and goodies released last week!) in the New Ellen Hutson Summer of Stamping Release HERE.

Let’s get to some projects, shall we?! First, let’s start with this fun little number made with the new Aloha set (and Aloha dies) and the new Tilt ‘N Rock dieΒ interactive die set, all of course by the talented Julie Ebersole. Julie strikes again! πŸ™‚

I toyed around with using all the of the fun little scenic pieces in this set and then ended up with this simple design to keep the focus on her little sashaying moves! ha! πŸ™‚ Here’s a little video of her shaking her grass skirt on my Instagram post: jilldhawkins .

I created the background using different Distress Oxide inks after masking off a rectangle to work within using Post It notes.

Here’s two little snap shots of how she looks in motion with the Tilt ‘N Rock die.

So fun and SUPER easy to make. You just need a penny along with the Tilt ‘N Rock die.Β πŸ™‚

Next up, I used the New Mondo Anthurium set (and Mondo Anthurium die) to create a few cards. I actually made five of them, but I figured you all are picking up what I’m putting down with seeing three of them. πŸ™‚

First I cut strips of brightly colored cardstock and pieced those all together. I was going to just mix up the order of the rows all different, but I decided to keep them all the same to ease our eyes when they are together. πŸ™‚

This first one, I stamped the Mondo AnthuriumΒ and white heat embossed with before die cutting it out. I added some stitching to the base panel and then lined up the Mondo AnthuriumΒ to match an adhered it with foam tape. I finished it all off with some clear bits from my stash and a simple Mahalo!

This one might be my favorite!

Next, I kept things a little more simple adding in the Hero Arts Infinity Nesting Postage Stamp dies to create panels.

I added some embossed lines to the card base and some stitching to the panels and done! πŸ™‚

Such fun and these cards make me feel like I am vacationing amongst the tropical leaves of Hawaii! If only. ❀

Fall Bear Ware!

Today, I’m here to share a fun couple of cards using some Ellen Hutson cuteness! They are not new, by any means, but always fun!

First up, I used Ellen Hutson’s Bear Ware 2 (and coordinating dies HERE) and of course, the original, All Inside with dies HERE! I also used Bear Ware 4 and Bare Ware 4Β dies HERE–I don’t know that I have before? How is that possible?

This little guy is always fun and makes up these sweet little cards to pop in the mail! ❀ Pies on a head? Why not? He’s fit to be pied. πŸ™‚

The backgrounds are from the set called Wonky Backdrops. This set is always a winner! πŸ™‚Β . The sweet little embellishments: Crystal Clear Droplets.

I hadn’t used this little All Inside guy lately, and well, I missed him! Plus, he clearly loves Fall too! πŸ™‚

Next up is the cute Halloween one! I couldn’t decide which little accouterments to use from Bear Ware 2, so I used most of them. πŸ™‚

Who doens’t love a purple little kitty cat? πŸ™‚Β  A Beary Happy Halloween!

I colored all these with a very loose watercolor on Bristol paper using the Karin Markers! The Karin Markers are so fab because they stay nice and boldly/brightly colored. πŸ™‚

Hugs to Send

There’s a new Color Trends Pin-Sights Challenge over on Ellen Hutson–check it out!

While I am not a purple fan, per say, I do really enjoy the colors of these succulents, so that’s what I ran with for inspiration. Here’s my card:

I used different colored Distress Oxide ink pads to smoosh on the stamp and then I stamped repeatedly. I white heat embossed the sentiment, and finished it off with a lot of stitching. πŸ™‚

I made this card using two of my favorite Ellen Hutson’s sets: Wonky Backdrops and All Inside (sentiment). I added some Pretty Pink Posh Confetti...and as you can see, because of the glue, the top one took on the ink underneath and it turned the whole thing pinkish. Ha!! Overnight. Who knew?

I hope you have time to jump in on this current EH Challenge too! Thanks for stopping by!

One in a Chameleon

Hooray for the weekend! πŸ™‚

Last night I had just enough time to get a quick card made. Monday is back to school here,Β  and it is going to get ugly round these parts! My son is going to be in extreme denial!Β  πŸ™‚ So I made him a card for his lunchbox, to soften the blow midday. It’s not going to work, but it can’t hurt. Haaaa!

My son has a chameleon and he loves apples, so I went with that! πŸ™‚

This little chameleon was a Lawn Fawn goodie offered around Thanksgiving. I obviously needed to grab one! πŸ™‚ I did not get the die however, so I just fussy cut him out. πŸ™‚

The background I used is from the fabulous Ellen Hutson set, Wonky Backdrops. Love that set.

Other supplies: Lawn Fawn Thanks a Bushel stamp and die, Lawn Fawn Jet Black (Copic friendly) Ink, Versafine Black,Β  Hero Arts Ombre ink pad, Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, Copic Markers, and a White Gel Pen.

I thought I’d enter this for the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Fun with Food! I love to partake in challenges, as I think it’s great creative exercise! πŸ™‚ There is still over a week to join in the fun, so check it out! Lots of yummy cute to check out there! πŸ™‚

Have a great weekend and STAY WARM!

Take care! Jill πŸ™‚

You’re Rad-ish!

Hooray for the weekend! I was trying to do nothing last night, but apparently I cannot do that because I ended up making this card. πŸ™‚Β

Let me just say: I used more purple on this card than I’ve used all year? Haaaaaa!

For this, I used Essentials by Ellen stamps set,Β  Wonky Backdrops and Avery Elle’s Punny Pantry stamps. I completely enjoy this Avery Elle set because PUNS! πŸ™‚Β  I was fortunate (and super excited!) to be gifted this at a crafty retreat. Thank you, Avery Elle! ❀

I colored this radish with Copic markers and fussy cut it out. I stamped the Wonky Backdrop with a Hero Arts ombre ink pad. Love how that turned out! πŸ™‚ I stitched on some patterned paper and cardstock strips before I added the lot with foam adhesive. Such a fun card!

I’m adding this for the Mix-It Up Challenge with Avery Elle over at Ellen Hutson right now. Plenty of time to join in, so hoping to make another one day. Wishful thinking anyway ;)! Check it out and join in! πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by!
