Gumball Machine

It’s Throwback Thursday today, over at Taylored Expressions! That means more Second Chance releases, with several extras now available to also add on! Eeeps! And the Petal Pop is one of my faves!

Let’s get poppin’!

First up, I have this fun little number using the fabulous new Shaker Bubbles! Goodness I do enjoy these–they remind me of the Trouble bubble! We played a lot of Trouble in our house and that plunk pop will always be in my head 😂. (But don’t push this bubble! 😉)

I paired the Shaker Bubble with the previously released Gumball Machine and it fits perfectly! I used the one pierced ring from the Petal Pop set to make the Shaker Bubble a snugger fit bc I liked that look, but I think you ca do without it too?

My son and I went shopping for candy before I made this card (phew!) and Good & Plenty was the only thing available that day. (Don’t get me wrong, I love Good & Plenty!). But I was hoping to get a box of Rainbow Nerds or Mini M & M’s. In the end, these worked out great because they aren’t sticky, probably take a lot of heat to melt and drove the color scheme. 🙂

The Mini Strips are from the I’d Chews You set. The background is stamped and clear heat embossed using the striped part of the Americana set. I finished it off with some Little Bits-Hearts (out of Black Glossy Cardstock) and some Black Drip Drops.

Here’s a look at the inside!

The true celebration is that I remembered to take photos of the inside! I used the new Pull To Open die that created a perforated line for your recipient to pull open and grab whatever is in the bubble. I put mine on the inside and added some fun with The Insiders-Thank You stamp set and the I’m Interactive set.

This created a fun and unexpected card! And while you would need to pack it a little gingerly and add some extra postage, it does mail! Mine is now at TE and I believe it arrived safely! 🙂

Next up, this fun Shaker Bubble with the Petal Pop set–a fave! Love this bold and whimsy flower!

Not to mention those cute bees! I gave the Flower a little Pop with MINI SLIM STENCIL – ON THE DOT.

And the sentiment is from the Pop Sentiments–Those are also a fave! I love the sweet font!

Edited to ADD THIS CARD! I can’t believe I forgot it today–because I’m SUPER excited that the Fanfare Cutting Plate is out for all now and this Fanfare Layering Stencil set is 🤩🤩🤩! If you use it yourself, you will understand my glee too! 🙂

And the Mythical Grumpling Unicorn with the Snarky Simple Strip. This is my kind of card. 😂🤣

In case you missed the previous cards I created when the the Petal Pop was the monthly exclusive gift, here those are too–that bee really makes it, doesn’t s/he?! 😊

Such Fun! I want to use these all the time to send some happy mail! 🙂

Lastly, because I don’t think I have shared the July Exclusive Gift here yet, these are those cards using the Summer Nights Layering Stencil. Makes me what to get a jar and collect bugs to glow for a few minutes, doesn’t it?

Happy 2023! Hoping you all had a wonderful and possibly relaxing Holiday Season. Taylored Expressions is ready to kick of the new year with lots of love, friendship and cuteness.

Let’s get kicking it with the New Valentine’s Release. First up, we have Puppy Love and it is oh so cute! Lots of pups. I colored this cutie with Copics and die cut him out with the coordinating Puppy Love dies. The heart background is the new Forever Love Coordinating Dies cut out of Macaroon. The little fence is the Build a Scene – Heart Fence & Hill.

And the little envelopes from Sealed with Love Cling & Clear Combo worked perfectly to add to this card. I actually used the inside of a Target envelope to stamp these on. 🙂 I adhered the paper to some Sugar Cube cardstock to give it some heft.

The background is created with my always go-to Frame in Frame 2. I added some stitching and I called this cutie done.

Next up, the super fun Gumball Machine Die Set! Eeeeek! I was excited about this whole release and this Gumball Machine is a fave! I used the new TE Red Foil Cardstock because I thought that was too classic to not use. 😊

I decided I had to use the new TE Washi Tape – Hearts in Bloom in some fashion so I let that drive the color scheme beyond the Gumball Machine. I went with the sweet little Heart Gumball dies in the set.

I used the TE Washi Tape – Hearts in Bloom on Sugar Cube cardstock and then cut the tag using the Pierced Tag Stacklets 2. The punny sentiment is from Mini Strips – I’d Chews You Stamp cut out with the Mini Strips Die and backed with the Mini Strips Backer. I added some Bits & Pieces – Full of Heart to add some extra flare of shaker and put the card together using the Frame in Frame 3 Cutting Plate. Oh and some twine to finish it off. So sweet!

Next up, I used the Sketched Hearts dies to create this fun little number. This set is one of the current gifts with qualifying purchase–see the information below.

These hearts are super fun to layer up or add to cards as a background. I went all in and let them shine here. I thought this sentiment from Simple Strips – Crafty was too perfect and had to use it. Again, I used the backer strip. So the combo is Simple Strips Die and Simple Strips Backer.

Oh–and I also added the new Silver Matte Enamel Dots. I really like the flatness of these and the matte finish. I should just buy a couple packages straightaway so I’m ready! 😊

Puppie Love cards:
