Ellen Hutson’s: 12 Days of TAGS!

Today, I am helping to celebrate the 12 Days of Tags with Ellen Hutson and it couldn’t be more fun! I love holiday tags! Well, full disclosure, I just love tags period. 🙂

(If you are looking for my Taylored Expressions post, please click HERE.😊 )

As I’m sure you’ve gathered, I naturally gravitate to using Julie Ebersole’s  Sweet Surprises set  and (Sweet Surprises Dies). I colored the little bear with Copic Markers and then die cut him and his candy cane with the Sweet Surprises Dies. He needed someone to look after him, so I used original Bear from  All Inside (All Inside Dies) and all his accoutrements from Bear Ware 2.

This sentiment is from Tag It-Christmas and the tag I used is from the awesome  Farmhouse Tags set. I created the polka dot background using the Wonky Backgrounds set (essential!) and used strips of scrap cardstock to create the stripes. I think this turned out oh so cute! These little bears get me every time!

(This little bear is the teeny tiny version of All Inside (All Inside Dies).)

Here are all the details from Ellen Hutson to get in on the fun:

This year, we asked 24 talented designers to create a tag inspired by a favorite Christmas carol. Their clever – and sometimes humorous – tags are sure to inspire. But their awesome tags are only half the fun; we always look forward to seeing what our designers’ tags inspire YOU to make, and we welcome you to join the fun by creating tags inspired by each day’s song (with a chance to win a shopping spree at ellenhutson.com to boot)!

Here’s a link to the whole  Winter Release from Ellen Hutson.

One quick list of just the Ellen Hutson products I used today:

Take care–Jill 🙂

Create in Quads from Taylored Expressions!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today! It is the Create in Quads: Snowflake Stencils! I am sooooooooo excited about these! The stenciling is super fast and then boom, four cards! These are even easier using the Create-in-Quads Paper Packs. (Not essential for creating, but just helps streamline your Quad stenciling. 😉)

For these cards on toffee, I used Poblano Pepper, Sugar Cube, Mushroom, Earl Grey and Fruit Punch inks.

The sentiments are from the new Winter Blessings sentiment set and there are coordinating dies too.

I also had to use a little Gus & Gertie: Holiday Adventures. They are OH too cute!

I die cut the Open Scallop Circle out of TE Vellum to create a subtle backdrop for the sentiments.

They all turned out so wintery and delightful. This is a GREAT way to make a card set for gifting!

I finished them all off with some stitching and some  Clear Drip Drops.

Next up, I used the Sugar Cube Create-in-Quads Paper Packs to create a set in Sugar Cube. I wanted to see if I could keep this set REALLY simple, so I eliminated the stitching. I don’t think I will do that again because they truly feel incomplete to me–ha! Creature of habit.

Initially,  I set out to make a set of Rainbow Snowflake cards but I got sidetracked mid stenciling and forgot my plan! Ha! Anyone else ever do this? 😋 So anywho, I ended up with this funky pastel set…

But I do enjoy how they turned out, so it’s all good! 🙂

I used the Frame in Frame 2 die set, along with the Petite Scallop Rectangular Stacklets. I created a simple way to add a little something without going crazy. 🙂

This set of cards is made with the Get Cozy set. I love the font in this set along with the simple block layout. Right up my alley. 😉

I decided use Strawberry Milkshake for the card bases. I added some embossed lines on some for a little extra.

I added a little simple silver thread to this card. I broke my SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE rule just this once for this card. 🙂

If you missed the first set of Create in Quads Stencils created, those are called Create-in-Quads – Mistletoe Layering Stencil. This is the newest set, and I’m guessing FAR from the last! Such a cool and brilliant idea.

By the way, there is a NEW gift with purchase over at TE this month month–it is called Anytime Expressions and it is a great set of sentiments for any time of year:

This is also using the Best Buds Layering Stencil Set and the Like Gnome Other stamps and dies.
