Seaside Escape Kit from Taylored Expressions

It’s the last Tuesday of June (gasp!)–hence, a NEW Card Kit from TE. This one is called Seaside Escape Kit and Taylored Expressions has this available today, along with a few extras, if you’d like. 🙂

Can you feel the ocean breeze? ahhhhhh

I had fun making these and feeling like I was oceanside while doing it! The stencils make three Mini Slim Panels, which of course means you get three Mini Slim cards boom!

With all the blues in the TE catalog, you can achieve some fun blue waves. Or go crazy and mix it up! Who says waves have to be blue?

I made a few sheets of the seashells, so I die cut them all out and mixed them up to create a fun summer shaker!

I stamped the Wood Plank Background on Salt Water Taffy to create this card.The shaker frame was created using the Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets. I guess I could have added some sand for the complete Seaside effect? 😂 Such a fun summer card to send.

I die cut the sentiments out using the add-on You’re a Treasure die. I also added some fun details with the Diagonal Stitch Mini Slim Stacklets and the Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets. I also used the Petite Scallop Mini Slim Stacklets.

Taylored Expressions… Get 2024 Ready!

I always enjoy a good head start and that is happening at Taylored Expressions today with some fun new 2024 Calendar designs! Now, can I get them all made before December 31? 🤔 I am excited at the possibilities!

I believe one of the most popular items at TE is the Mini Tear Off Calendars–and guess what? There is a new friend in town–The Square Tear-off Calendar! It’s going to be hard to decide which to make this year ahead because I do love these little squares.

And these cutie little cows? They are also new called Square Calendar Cards – Moo-la-la, along with the Scratch Off Stickers. I decided to foil all of them too, but you cannot tell in the photos. I used both Pewter Foil and the Black Foil. It adds a little something in person. The cute little punny jokes make me laugh! I definitely need to grab an extra pack to make some cute little cards too!

The Earthquake cow one above, I used the Scalloped Notecard for the backing. It’s snug, but works swimmingly nonetheless. The new dies in this release are called Square Tear-off Calendar Stacklets and add that little impression for the perfect finishing touch.

I colored these with both OLO Markers and my Copics, creating all the different little bovine scenes. 🙂

I thought it would be fun to use the newest Easy Strips – 1/4″ Stitched and Easy Strips – 1/2″ Stitched to create a background too. You’ll also want to check out the new Decorative Borders–they will compliment ALL the Easy Strips so well! I forgot to use them here, but I will be soon!

For this vertical calendar above, I used the Petite Scallop Mini Slim Stacklets. You just need to do some creative die cutting to elongate the frame, accommodating the calendar and little cow. Partial die cutting works perfectly for this. Just be sure you pay attention and don’t run the die all the way through. 😉 Not that I have ever done that before. Eeek!

I thought these would be fun on someone’s desk for the year! Nice and bright. 🙂

Lastly, there is a new format for a horizontal calendar and these are called 2024 Landscape Desk Calendar. Along with these fun new additions, I used the Snow Squad Die & Clear Stamp Combo because we are COLD here in these months!

I was going to mix it up with the new Wild Squad, but found these cold critters more fitting for Chicago weather.

For the backgrounds on January and February, I used Stencil Strips – Calendar and for March I used the Mini Slim Stencil – Prism. Love how they turned out!

I thought the new Mini Strips – Carried Away worked perfectly for these months and critters, so I added them on too. These are made with the the Mini Strips dies to cut those out of Black Licorice. I tried not to use the Googley eyes, but there they are! I can’t resist! 🙂

Oh and don’t forget to grab a few Walnut Wood Display stands. I can’t forget myself. It completes the gift at the holidays and can be used year after year. Or these work great to display cards and photos too.

Taylored Expressions… New Release this week!

Today at Taylored Expressions, there is a new release! Hooray for some summer fun!

First up we have this new stamp set called Happy Home and there are coordinating dies for it! You can make single houses or use the whole row as I did here.

Taylored Expressions now carries the OLO Markers–which are awesome and I’m looking forward to filling in my collection! So I used a combo of both my Copics and Olo in coloring this. The sentiments are included in the set as well.

For the background, I used the Mini Slim Sunray Stencil with yellow inks. I love the way this turned out–so cheerful!! 🙂

Next up we have these fun little summer icons–Kites! This die set is called Let’s Go Fly a Kite and it could not be easier to use. I love when you can make a bunch of die cuts, combine them and have lots of leftovers to grab for future cards.

The sentiments are from the New Mini Strips Carried Away and of course the Mini Strips dies to cut those out of Black Licorice. Of course, I had to add the googley eyes! 🙂

The background is created with the Arched Stacklets and the Cloudy Skies Piercing Plate. I love the simple subtle background to lets the kites be the full feature. This card makes me smile! 🙂

And last but certainly not least, I used the new Serene Scenes Landscapes Vol. 2 with the new Camping Additions to create this sweet card. Makes you want to bask in the outdoors, doesn’t it?

I created the night sky on Blue Corn cardstock using the Twinkle Twinkle background stamp. ahhhh! 🙂

I used the Hexagon Stacklets, and Hexagon Ridged Stacklets and just gave the whole thing a stretch to elongate it! Perfect little trick! Of course, I wanted a cute little pink camper, so I just went ahead with that. I’m pretty sure real outdoors folks might giggle if I rolled up in this, but it sure makes a cute card! 😊
