I did something on this card that makes me crazy cringe! I flipped a die cut to the “wrong side”! The horror! LOL 🙂 I really wanted to use this flower, and the mirror image had the leaf overlapping the sentiment. Clearly, the lesser of two evils? Haaaa! But still: Nails on a chalkboard. 😉 shhhhh.Paper Smooches supplies: Bee die, Dainty Flowers Die, Uplifters stamps.

Sending Smiles…

Today, I needed to send some smiles STAT. And I was in a race with the postman. Why a card maker, like myself, who makes dozens of cards, never has the correct one, I do not know. Ack! And the idea of going to buy one? Ludicrous. So I busted out my Technique Tuesday Sending Smiles set and, boom: Done. 🙂

I also used the Photo Frame die. Staple. LOVE this die. I could stamp this smiley face on EVERYTHING. Just sayin’.^ That is a wonky photo, yes? Oh well. It’s postal. bwwwahhhhaa!

MFT Sketch #277

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #277! This comes from the My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration Blog!I thought I’d get ahead for either Teacher Appreciation or more likely, the end of the school year! 🙂 My son’s teacher is beyond AMAZING! And I like to tell her that. ❤ I thought this was a little different take on the sketch this week. I clear embossed the Roses All Over BG and then rubbed in distress inks. Pretty quick and easy, which is what I like these days! 🙂

My card is made with supplies at My Favorite Things. Die-namics: Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX, Candy Jars, Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX. Stamps: Roses All Over BG, LLD Soda Pop, and Rainbow of Happiness. Card stock: Ripe Raspberry and Smooth White.

Out of the Zone

I received THIS Fuchsia stamp set from Technique Tuesday, and was wondering if I could do it justice. I cannot lie: Flowers, especially lovely, realistic ones, are not my forte. But, always up for a challenge, I tried! 🙂

Definitely something different for me overall. I also tried using watercolor over watercolor. Does that makes sense? Haaa! Something to build on going forward. 🙂

For these cards, I used Technique Tuesdays’ set Fuchsia – Greenhouse Society Stamps – April 2016. I know many people who would rock these stamps, and they are issued monthly. Very cool. If you want to see some pretty examples with this set, check these out HERE.

I also used the Be Happy set. ❤

MFT Sketch #276

Challenge in the Challenge: 30 minutes or less, start to finish.

Behold, the 25 minute card! 🙂 Phew!

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #276! (My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog.)This is one of the fastest cards I have ever completed. LOL. If I wasn’t in such a hurry, I would have stamped the sentiments one at a time to get them snug together, but alas.

The one card I never have ready to go is a flat-out Birthday card! And being a card maker, why would I have those done and ready on time? 😉

I used a dark gray ink to stamp the sentiment. I didn’t want it to be solid and dark. It worked out well. The part that took the longest was drying the ink and then the watercolor. Impatience. Geesh.

Do I love this card? Well, it’s better than I thought it would be, for sure! However, I have spent hours on a card and not liked it in the end, so in that case, I LOVE this card!! 🙂

Hey, Hot Stuff :)

Having some more fun with some Technique Tuesday goodies! ❤

I thought this was fun! 🙂For these cards, I used Technique Tuesdays’ set Fan-tastic for the Hot stuff, and First Class Male for the cool icon stamps, and the Postage Cut dies. They all work swimmingly together! Oh, and the Greatest-Fresh Cut Studio die cuts for the fun arrow here! 🙂

I used a good ol’ pencil to fill in some background. A little something different.Hope you are inspired to get working on cards for those men in your life! 🙂

We are looking forward to an amazing weather weekend here! LOTS of work to do outside. Happy Weekend to you all!

#truth from Technique Tuesday :)

Sometimes you make a card and just can’t send it. The irony does not elude me on this one! Technique Tuesday has this fantastic stamp set called: Snail Mail. I cannot say enough fun things about it! Just adore it! ❤

I wanted to keep this card pretty simple, because to me, it was all about this sentiment. So I heat embossed it, and embossed some lines with my scoring board. I then added some twine with staples. The part that took me the longest, was selecting a patterned paper. I went through ALL my 6 x 6 pads before coming to the last one. Ta-da! Never fails! The simplest cards take me the longest, by far. 😉

I also used the die set called Postage Card. There will be more made here with both these sets. For sure. 🙂

Big fan of the Awesome. 🙂

Kept this pretty simple by just blocking some card stock and die cutting it. You could also probably use a marker to color different shades. I like the crispness of this style though. 🙂 Paper Smooches supplies: Awesome die

Here’s my take on MFT Sketch Challenge #275! (My Favorite Things Challenge & Inspiration blog.)Almost a literal take…almost 🙂 I stamped the flowers with watered down Distress Inks. Kind of a fun-little-something-different. Then I watercolored the background by mixing distress colors. I must get my hands on that Twisted Citron Distress Pad. 😉

This one is going postal today. ❤
