ALL the Rainbows from Taylored Expressions

Oh it’s another day of colorful FUN over at Taylored Expressions! RAINBOWS and much more!!!! All the fun is available over at Taylored Expressions Today, July 7th right HERE!!

A whole lot of sweetness, that’s for sure! Some of the newly available products are from the previously released Somewhere Over the Rainbow Kit. You can see more cards ideas in my post for that HERE. Others are being released for the first time. πŸ™‚ And oh boy, are they cute!

For these first two cards, they are using all the same products and colors, but isn’t it amazing that they look quite different? Or is that just me?

This is the Over the Rainbow Die, Rainbow Cloud Duo and Over the Rainbow stamp set.

This one is a little different order and I love it!

For these cards, I embossed theΒ  background with TE’s Cloudy Days Embossing folder and then inlaid the felt die cuts. I added some stitching to finish them off.

These clouds are the perfect finishing touch. There are two cloud dies in the kit. One is simple and the other has the little pierced dots on it. The dots don’t show up on felt of course, but on cardstock, they are a great detail!

I do love the TE Wool Felt! It cuts like butta in a die cut machine, just in case you haven’t ever tried it.

Next up, I am using this super sweet new set of stamps called Brighter Days. Warning: Adorable! πŸ™‚

I created this background with the Rectangle Masking Stencil and just the Heart layer from the Puppy Love Layering stencil set.

I colored the rainbow with Copics and added in to the panel along with some stitching. I think this turned out to be a sweet and cheery card in the end.

Next up, this sweet little shaker with the cutest cloud! I gave the cloud some googley eyes to add to the fun and super cuteness. Inside the shaker card is the TE Sparkly Stars and Vanilla Creme shaker bits.

For the background, I added some very faint stenciling with the Splash stencil for some “rain” if you will.

Gah! It’s so fun! The shaker bit added something a little extra. ❀

Next up, this sweet little umbrella! Showered with Love! This could be great for an every day kinda card or wouldn’t it be fun for a wedding shower or baby shower too? Changing up the colors a bit could change the entire feeling. πŸ™‚

I colored the one umbrella with Copics and die cut it out, adding it with foam adhesive to the background of umbrellas. I recommend stamping the panel and then putting the one you colored on top. This will help with placement–I’ve learned this lesson many a times. πŸ˜‰

Finally, I have these sweet rain boots with the RAINBOW!!

I used the Square Window Masking stencil with Earl Gray ink for the Brighter Skies sentiment.

These new illustrations are just the sweetest and sure to brighten any mailbox or doorstep you send it to. πŸ™‚

I just love the rainbow goodness! ❀

Somewhere Over the Rainbow Kit from Taylored Expressions

Hello and welcome to a SUPER FUN release celebration forΒ  Taylored Expressions! This new Somewhere Over the Rainbow Kit is available NOW over at Taylored Expressions TODAY, May 12 right HERE!!

This release is ALLLLLL about the Rainbows and sending some much needed to cheer in the mail…and do you see the envelope seals?! Gah!

Let’s get this party started! πŸ™‚ I have A LOT to share!

This first rainbow card is made with kit’s Masking Rainbow Stencils and my TE Blender Brushes. First, I blended on some Sugar Cube ink to give the dye inks a nice solid layer to blend on. It makes the finished product more vivid when you are using colored cardstock.

I also used the Frame in Frame 2 die to finish it all off. Eeeep! I sure ❀ this sentiment! πŸ™‚

Next up, I have one of the simplest cards I made but one of my faves! The Rainbow Masking Stencils are super easy to use because there are two different stencils. The spacing makes it easy to not blend into the wrong arch. That little smiley is adorable!

The smile fits fantastically on the little clouds, but I thought maybe the Rainbow wanted to smile too. πŸ™‚

And then, we have the dies!!! Oh goodness–how FUN are these!? These sweet sentiments are the perfect font and so delightful for these cards. ❀

For this card, I embossed theΒ  background with TE’s Cloudy Days Embossing folder and then inlaid the die cuts, added some stitching.

These clouds are the perfect finishing touch. There are two cloud dies in the kit. One is simple and the other has the little pierced dots on it. Both match each other and it’s great to have the two options.

While we are on the dies, how about a shaker card? This is too fun! I added the previous released Rainbow Sprinkles, Full of Heart and Sparkly Stars to make a mix. All that sparkly action allowed for me to keep the cardstock simple in Sugar Cube.

This is a fun one and very easy to make. I highly recommend using the TE Foam Strips. They are not only perfect for the Simple Strips sentiments, but they bend SUPER easy for shaker cards, making it much faster than using foam tape. πŸ™‚

I just love this little rainbow! ❀

I have a couple cards I made on Toffee cardstock too! Who am I? I’m not sure, but I thought it would be fun to blend the Rainbow again with Sugar Cube ink first, giving the ink a *base* and then blended the dye inks over top a few there.

Mixed it up with the rainbow colors on this one too. For the little pattern stamps, I wanted a light gray, so I off stamped the Earl Grey ink and then stamped it on here so it wasn’t quite as dark/bold.

This is another fave sentiment in this kit. Well, who am I kidding, I actually ❀ them all! ha! πŸ™‚

Here’s another super super simple one on Toffee.

I wanted to have a variety of different cards. My plan is to circle back and make a pile to mail out. πŸ™‚

These all just make me happy! πŸ™‚

Lastly, I thought I’d REALLY mix it up and just use the pixelated rainbow stamp to create a multicolored background on cardstock.Β

Once that was done, I die cut a couple tags out and overlaid them with vellum before stitching them. The smaller one is cut out of the larger one, but you’d never know once I adhered it back in. πŸ™‚

Thought it would be fun to try something different with the kit. πŸ™‚

Well, believe it or not, I think that is all I have in the way of cards to share today. I had A LOT of fun making these cards and the timing of this kit while being more at home these days made it all the better.

If you’re thinking of ordering this fun kit, I wouldn’t wait too too long. Quantities are limited, so hop to! πŸ™‚ You can find the kit in my supplies below or Somewhere Over the Rainbow Kit HERE.

Hero Arts May: My Monthly Hero Kit (+Giveaway)

Happy Monday! Exciting day today as I’m joining Hero Arts to celebrate the release of their May Monthly Hero Kit!Β  You can find the Hero Arts May Collection HERE and you can subscribe HERE.

Hopefully you have arrived here via the blog of Jessica Frost-Ballas HERE. If not, but sure to check it out, as I’m sure you don’t want to miss it! πŸ™‚ (And if you want to be sure to check out the Hero Arts Blog HERE of course for a full list! )

Today, I am using the Metallic Karin Markers in the kit as well as the Hero Arts stamp set and coordinating die set. Isn’t this little plane adorable? πŸ™‚

For this card, I created a wash using the Karin Markers. First, I masked off this space with some tape. Then I scribbled some of the ink out on a mat, added some water and brushed it over on some Bristol Paper, created a little gradient with the three colors. This kit is a great way to try out a few of these Karin Markers and decide if you need to add a few more to your collection. They sure are delightful!

I love this little message…on the inside, I’ll write the recipient’s name. πŸ™‚

Next up, I created this card using a the same concept but just blending on a bunch of colors together to create a watercolor centerpiece.

This sentiment is a great one and I thought it could definitely hold a card on it’s own!

The watercoloring warped the paper, as usual, and I felt it was better to let it roll. So I didn’t try and flatten it and adhere it flat. I am looking forward to mailing this one!

Next up, I did a blue water color wash with the Karin Marker before adhering this cute rainbow over top. This sentiment is another fave, especially given our current times. ❀

I also added some flecks of paint to add a little interest to the background. And of course, some simple stitching.

Lastly, I created a wash with the pink Karin Marker. I colored the rainbow and then fussy cut it out to add on top of the wash.

This gradient look is soooo easily achieved with these markers, a small brush, and a little water.

Sending you Love! Perfect! I need to get this one in the mail too! πŸ™‚

I had such fun creating these cards with the Metallic Karin Markers and the cuteness of the May My Monthly Hero Arts kit! I hope you enjoy all the inspiration of so many great designers today! πŸ™‚

Taylored Expressions: Teacher and Grad Release!

Welcome to another great release celebration forΒ  Taylored Expressions!Β All the new products will be available over at Taylored Expressions tomorrow, April 28th.

This release is full of goodness to celebrate Teachers and Grads! This year, I think the Graduates need a little extra love. So many events and celebrations of their last year have been cancelled. I can’t imagine what that feels like. And the teachers–goodness, they have been thrown for so many big loops! SO–let’s shower them with goodness!

This first card is a rainbow of goodness to thank my son’s teacher this year.Β  I used the new Tag Team Teacher set. I completely adore this pencil… really, this whole set! It coordinates with the Tag Dies and oh how cute I can make a bunch of those QUICK!

I used a plethora of TE Inks and just made quick work of this rainbow action, careful to clean the stamp with the Stamper’s Spritz cleaner well between each color.

I can’t wait to stamp a bunch with the set! It’s a good one that’ll I’ll be using A LOT! ❀

Next up, I used the new Flip the Script-Grad, coupled with the new Inside Scoop Grad.Β  This little mortarboard works swimmingly with the cards in this release to create a stack of cards in a jiffy! I decided to use it on it’s own with the Masking Stripes stencil, just to mix it up a bit.

I used Blueberry ink with differently applied pressure using the TE Blender Brushes. It’s simple to create a gradient look if you just pay attention to what you’re doing. Sometimes if I am blending, and I get distracted, all the stripes end up basically the same tone. Ask me how I know… πŸ™‚ ha!

Here’s the inside of this card–the Inside Scoop Grad set has so many delightful sentiments of encouragement and inspiration! I just blended a little ink on the background there to give it a little something something. πŸ™‚

You can find all my supplies and links to the Taylored Expressions Shop below.

Rainbows of Kindness!

Hope you all are having a good day! I thought I’d pop in and share a few cards I made using the new Rainbow Turnabout from Concord & 9th! And then a few more cards… πŸ™‚

Always good stuff coming out from Concord & 9th! This set is called Rainbow Turnabout (you can find it HERE)! πŸ™‚

The sentiment is from the Sunshine Turnabout stamp HERE.

Love this sentiment! πŸ™‚

Pro Tip from my friend Cheryl, that will change your world using this Rainbow Turnabout stamp:

Mount this stamp on a new cutting plate from your die cut machine or on the old Fiskars Stamp Press or the like. It works sooooo much easier than trying to use this turnabout on the Misti. My friends experienced many trials and errors with Misti and once we tried this plate thing: Ba Bam! So much easier! πŸ™‚ Genius, Cheryl!! ❀

And then there is Happiness! I know who I am sending this one to! πŸ™‚

I stamped the sentiment in Black Versafine and clear heat embossed over top. That is all on vellum.

The little heart strip I used I just love and it’s from Paper Smooches HERE. It’s in the die set called, again appropriately, Hearts. πŸ™‚ ❀

Here is another set of cards I made recently with the C9 Rainbows. This is from the set called Brighter Days and you can get just the Brighter Days stamps HERE or the stamps and dies HERE.

I made these and mailed them out immediately. ❀ Love how quick they came together and I added some scoring and stitching, (shocking, I know!), and out the door!

And lastly, here is one more card I sent to say thank you for your kindness. I have really appreciated so many things from friends and family during this interesting time in our world. For this card, I used Concord & 9th’s Thank You for Being set HERE and Taylored Expressions Frame in Frame die HERE.

This one works great for mailing. πŸ™‚

Check out my previous C9 post HERE using theΒ Special Delivery set. Cute cute!

You Are Forever in My Heart…

Hope you are having a good weekend–I’m sure it’s a bit different that usual, but it just means more time to craft! πŸ™‚

I’m here to share a card using some goodies from Β Honey Bee Stamps.

I figured we could allllll use a rainbow about now, so I ran with that! πŸ™‚

I continue thinking differently about some of the products I have and this one came together swimmingly! This is the Stacking Pockets Honey Cuts….I just haven’t cut it apart yet, so I die cut it out of every color and voila, a rainbow! The best part: I can make EIGHT total cards out of these die cuts! So let’s see if if I get to that now or later.Β  πŸ™‚

The sentiment is from the Heart stamp set and the Honey Cuts: Hearts.Β  I enjoy those little hearts and the layered word “heart”. So sweet! πŸ™‚

I hope you have enjoyed my March of Honey Bee product re-purposing!Β  πŸ™‚ It’s so fun to stretch our supplies for new things.

Be sure to check out the Honey Bee Stamps blog HERE. πŸ™‚

Here’s a recap of all the new Honey Bee goodies I used and links to each below:

Sending Summer Smiles!

Hope you are enjoying your summer! Today I’m here to share a sweet little rainbow using The Stamp Market’s Dotted Rainbow! I stitched this one up and have it ready to send πŸ™‚ ! I have a “few” more to finish. πŸ˜‰

I thought it would be fun to attempt to do this stitching pattern on the rainbow and it turned out! Fun to try something different and have it work! ❀

For mounting this to the card base, I used X-press It Foam Mounting Squares. Generally, I’m a foam tape person, but these are awesome to get in the nooks and crannies of a rainbow! πŸ™‚ And I like them because the backing peels off easy! That’s a big deal to me to not fight with the backing paper. ha!

You can link to the Stamp Market Dotted Rainbow (for stitching) HERE. The sentiment is from a small set that I think was included with an order. πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by! Sending Summer Smiles! πŸ™‚

Rainbows and Cuteness!

Happy Day to you! I just wanted to pop in and share a stash of cards I made a couple of weeks ago… they make me smile and I hope they brighten your day too!

Isn’t this little Lawn Fawn Rainbow just the sweetest little ditty?! It’s called: Rain or Shine Before and Afters.I always love the smiling faces! The background paper is Lawn Fawn’s Really Rainbow Scallop. Love it!

Then I colored another Lawn Fawn rainbow and colored him in too. πŸ™‚

For this one, I stenciled on some clouds for the background. The little background scallop is Lawn Fawn’s.

And lastly, I had to commit this cutie Doodlebug sticker to a card. I wanted to hoard it, like we crafters do, but it just wanted to be on a card. πŸ™‚ I likely won’t mail this one, but that’s neither here nor there now, right? πŸ˜‰

It is a smiling typewriter with smiling paper!!! This makes me so happy! πŸ™‚

The stenciled background I made with Altenew’s Halftone stencil.

Thanks for stopping by! Come by tomorrow for a special blog post and VIDEO!! What? I know πŸ™‚

Rainbow Wishes

Hope your week is going well! Mine has been jam-packed, but last night, I just had to stamp some color! πŸ™‚ So I made these:

Be You. Be Happy. ❀

I figured, if you are stamping rainbows, STAMP some RAINBOWS in bulk . πŸ˜‰ I stitched each one a little different to mix things up. Loving this stamp set and especially ❀ the sentiments and the font they are in. Gah! πŸ™‚

For all these cards, I used Concord & 9th’s Rainbow Wishes . Ahhhh rainbows. ❀

I added a few scoring lines to the top of this. These were an experiment, and I decided I do not like this broken up look in scoring. But now I know, and I certainly was not going to bin these just because of that little detail. Not tragic. πŸ˜‰

I also stamped envelopes with Concord & 9th’s little stamp set. πŸ™‚

Well, that is all for now! πŸ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope wherever you live, you are experiencing a nicer Spring season. Haaaa! We are not having typical weather, but rather a continuing winter. Ugh.

Enjoy the rest of your week!

Take care– Jill πŸ™‚

Awesome

The NEWΒ Paper SmoochesΒ JANUARY 2018 goodies released the other day! Whoohoooo! You can check out all the productsΒ HERE!

For my card below, I thought I’d mix it up by embossing the new Stitched Square die and filling in the dots with Copic Markers! I’m not sure this photo does it justice though. πŸ™‚

I think the winter light really got me that day, but in person, these are a bit more colorful! πŸ™‚I also used Paper Smooches Awesome die!Β  I doubled up the die cut and adhered it to my card. I finished this off with a little stitching. Voila! πŸ™‚

These new dies from Paper Smooches are sure to have endless possibilities! ❀️ them!! Such fun to use and create so many different things. Check them out HERE and see what the rest of the Design Team made with them–seriously, WOW!! πŸ™‚

Stay warm and Awesome! Happy Friday! Jill πŸ™‚
