Hey Hey! Welcome to my stop along this fun Lil’ Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop! There are prizes being offered for comments left along the entire blog hop! So be sure to drop everyone some ❤ along the way for more chances to win. Details and the full blog list can be found on the Lil’ Inker Blog HERE.
I was fortunate to receive this great Lil’ Inker stamp while on an awesome crafty retreat earlier this month. It is such a beautiful sentiment, and I love the way it owns a card! Therefore, I decided to just give it a pretty rainbow backdrop and just let it shine. Literally. Because I heat embossed it. 😉
Gah! How awesome is that stamp? Geesh! ❤ I keep thinking this would look sweet in a frame. 🙂 Might have to do that!
For the background, I masked off stripes and blended Distress Inks on, one by one. I love how vibrant they turned out. I was thinking I’d add a few spatters to this, but in the end, I wanted to maintain the crisp feel that resulted. It’s a pretty simple technique, but it gives a POW, and it almost looks like patterned paper. What do you think?
Here’s are the two stamps, that along with a few others, are being released today:
The next stop on the hop is the always creating Heather Hoffman! I’m sure Heather’s project will be fantastic! Be sure to hop on–sure to be amazing projects to see! 🙂
If you get lost along the way, be sure to head back to the Lil’ Inker blog and start from the beginning. You can get to the LID Blog HERE.
Speaking of kindness, thank you so very much to Laura, for sharing these super sweet stamps and for including us in the fun today!! ❤
Thanks for stopping by! Spread kindness!
I had to make this card for my little nut 🙂 . He is going to think these little squirrels are so cute! ❤
I watercolored a rainbow for the background. It went a little awry, but that is what happens with watercolor, right?
I’m joining in the Little Tangles Challenge: Rainbow! Love a rainbow!! I’d love to make another one.
I colored these little cuties for Kathy’s The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge. If you haven’t joined in, I recommend it! Kathy is a star for keeping it going and dropping smiles everywhere. You can find my attempts on Instagram here –> jilldhawkins . If you join in once or twice, it’s all good! I’m wondering if I’ll complete another full 30 days myself?! Here’s hoping! 🙂
This stamp set is Neat & Tangled’s My Favorite Nut.
Have a great week!! 🙂
Preparing for Mother’s Day and Teacher Appreciation all this week! Let’s see how many posts I can squeeze in too! 🙂 Here is one of my fun Technique Tuesday cards for my lovely Grannie. She is not online, so I’m in the clear to share! 🙂
The ‘crazy good looking’ part is so spot on. If only I inherit her genes, in that respect! 🙂
I’m mailing this today, so I know it’ll be there in plenty of time! 😉 I only wish I could hug her in person too. ❤
I watercolored with Distress Inks, and used the following stamp sets from Technique Tuesday: Mom’s Day, Man Day, and Beary Sweet. It’s fun to mix the Mom set with the Man set! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon!
Today, I needed to send some smiles STAT. And I was in a race with the postman. Why a card maker, like myself, who makes dozens of cards, never has the correct one, I do not know. Ack! And the idea of going to buy one? Ludicrous. So I busted out my Technique Tuesday Sending Smiles set and, boom: Done. 🙂
I also used the Photo Frame die. Staple. LOVE this die. I could stamp this smiley face on EVERYTHING. Just sayin’.^ That is a wonky photo, yes? Oh well. It’s postal. bwwwahhhhaa!
Thanks for stopping by! Get ready, some new TT stuff heading out soon for MAY!! whoooop! 🙂
Popping in with a little rainbow action from Concord & 9th! 🙂
I used the die from Bags & Tags that is ideal for a bag edge. But you know, I was thinking RAINBOW! I am clearly in a rainbow phase! 🙂This stamp set from Concord & 9th is, Lots of Blots. And the die set is Bags & Tags Dies. 😉
The Wonky Stitched Rectangle is from My Favorite Things.
Thanks for stopping by! See you here tomorrow! 🙂

Back to laughs… 🙂 I thought I’d share the card I’m sending my Grannie for her 91st birthday Thursday! 91 years young–so true for my sprightly Grannie 🙂
I love this rainbow die from Paper Smooches, and the bonus is you can make several cards at once, mixing it up. The one above is my favorite! It was my third (off white–getting crazy!) & last (so far). I was playing around with how I liked the arrangement best…I definitely like the sentiment engaged in the rainbow 🙂
These two cards below were #1 and #2, given to friends this past weekend 🙂 What fun!
(Why do I think of The Today Show just a little bit when seeing these!? Ha!)
Oh, and I’m going to include this for the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge this week–Anything Goes!
Thanks for popping by…
