Heartfelt Thanks

Happy Friday! Today I am sharing a pair of Paper Smooches cards…sometimes when you make one card, you come out with two! Love that!

I love this sentiment! ❤ ! I stamped all the paint strokes on in different colors and then die cut the words right out of there.

After die cutting out the Heartfelt Thanks die, I had this pretty die cut and figured I’d just make another card. So I scored up some kraft and added the inlaid words. 🙂

Its fun to think this came from the other! 🙂
I NEVER have enough Thank You cards, and I am definitely behind on sending all cards…August is the new September I guess? Crazysauce.

Paper Smooches: Heartfelt Thanks, Positive Strokes Two.

And the Paper Smooches Blog is rockin’ a new idea every day! Check it out!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a good Labor Day weekend, all!

September Release Countdown, Day 2 from Technique Tuesday!

Welcome to Day TWO of Technique Tuesday’s September Release Countdown! It’s chock full of sentiments, holidays and whale, everything! 🙂

For this card, I used the new-soon-to-be-released TT set called, Wendell the Whale Stamp Set and the coordinating dies: Wendell the Whale Crafting Dies. The puns get me every time! 🙂 (*Links will work when the new products are released tomorrow, September 1st)

I made the background the color and left the whale in the black and white. Again, this seems to be the phase I’m in currently. 😉

I thought I’d make a handful of Thank you cards while at it. I stamped all these at the same time, to make the streamline go a little faster. 🙂

For these, I used the number 8 from the stamp set: Story of December Days Stamp Set and the sentiment is from Wendell the Whale Stamp Set.

.By the time I finished stamping these, I had finally figure out the most efficient strategy to stamp. 🙂

These are perfect for our son, whom, and you may have gathered is turning EIGHT!!! OMGOODNESS

But I like these little bubble numbers–and they stamp crisp vs bleeding and not being able to read that’s an 8–fabulous! 🙂

I added some score lines and some stitching to polish off the cards before adhering everything down.

Be sure to check out the NEW products from Technique Tuesday HERE! (The new products shown above will be available via those links tomorrow, September 1st! 🙂

Technique Tuesday: Day 1 of the September Release Countdown

Today we are showing Day One of the Technique Tuesday countdown to the new September release! 🙂

I knew I’d stamp these NEW Mandala Sentiments Stamps in Black and White, the moment they arrived in the mail. (This link will work once the products become available on September 1st). In person, the crispness of these stamps is what really makes these Wow! Seeing these photos, it is a little lost in translation of the photo.(Possibly, it was the poor lighting I had to photograph in. 😦 )  If I had the time, I’d have made a whole set of these Thank You cards. I think that would make a lovely gift to give to someone.

These stamps would be fun to color too. I don’t have the patience for the intricacy myself, but I know many people do!

Be sure to check out the NEW products from Technique Tuesday HERE! (The new product above will be available via its link on September 1!)

And follow the new release over at the Technique Tuesday Blog HERE! Once there, you can find all the Design Team’s blogs to link to.

I’ll see you back here again tomorrow for another sneak!

Thanks, Teacher!

Good Morning! Happy Friday to you! Today, I thought it appropriate to share a back-to-school Paper Smooches card. My son started school this week and we are in full swing again! 🙂

I so adore this lil’ apple and his pearly whites. And I cannot seem to use him without googley eyes. 😉

I gave the tag texture with the Triangle Die and the base some funk with the scoring. I colored the apple with Copics.

laughs…

hello! I have a pile of cards I have yet to share that I made over the summer. So today, I’m popping in to share this group of funny cards and a lil’ bit of fall….

These stamps are super funny to me, especially this first one. Everything is better in a cape! Cracking up!! 🙂 Full disclosure: The reason this chick is colored so awesomely and skillfully, is because my friend Jen colored it and let me have it. 🙂 Or did I just take it? ha–Just kidding! 😉 I did color her cape and make the rest of the card though. Ha!

So fun! This is Taylored Expressions Sarcasti-Chick and her Halloween Closet. Just. So. Funny. ❤

Next up, I have this very ON POINT hair humor card. Hilarious. These are also stamps by Taylored Expressions–from the Clearly Planned called Super Sweet. I colored all of this one. 🙂

Because it has been soooooo humid here! 🙂

And then, we get to the sweet Thank You cards for Fall. I made a handful of these, but forgot to take a group picture, so here’s just one. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care– Jill 🙂

The Tweetest Warm Wishes

Have you had a chance to check out all the new Technique Tuesday August products! Eeep! I’m back from a little summer vacation road trip and I got crackin’ straightaway last night on these CUTE little birds! The whole release can be seen and is available HERE!

This is new (and extremely adorable) Christmas Birds Stamp Set and their coordinating dies HERE. Teri Anderson and her great mind, designing this lil’ set! 🙂

I mean, how sweet, I mean TWEET, are they!? I popped them into their little nest, which is the very cool Berry Basket Crafting Die. I have been eager to use this great die, and what better plan than a little bird’s nest! 😉

I colored these little cuties with Copic Markers and then added them all on to the basket with some foam tape. I had previously added patterned paper to the card base and added some stitching. I’m not 100% loving the stitching, but I went with it. Getting back into the swing of things after not making anything for almost three weeks is crazy odd! Ha! Silliness. 😉

This is one of my other faves from the August release: Cars on the Road Border Dies, along with the new Sassy Vacation Memories stamp set. ❤️! So fun! You can check out the card I made with them HERE…and other August cards HERE and HERE.

You can find all the NEW August products from Technique Tuesday HERE!

OH and one more quick little note: BIG SALE on some of my favorite stamps and dies HERE! Crazy good sale–and today is the last day!! Just sayin’ 😉Thanks for stopping by –back to the laundry for me!

Take care–Jill 🙂

Thank You, Favorite Human

We meet again! Yay! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

This Friday’s Paper Smooches card is brought to you by these sweet little birds! Thank you Thank you Thank you! I stamped this background awhile back and it has been sitting on my desk to use for months. It finally got its day in the sun.

I colored these fun little birds with Copic Markers. Next, I die cut the notepad window for them and added some scoring lines. I then white heat embossed the sentiment strip and adhered everything down with foam tape. To polish it off, I added some stitching, of course. 😉

Such a sweet card to say Thank You to our favorite human! 🙂

Ellen Hutson’s New August Release!

Today, there is a fun NEW RELEASE from Ellen Hutson! The Leading Ladies are back and busier than ever! I always enjoy all the little stamps Brandi Kincaid includes in her sets, so I ran with those! 🙂

You can check out the entire release: Essentials By Ellen August 2018 Complete Release!

I first peeled off these cute little supplies from the newly released: Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Leading Ladies – Teacher Lady By Brandi Kincaid. There are coordinating dies HERE. I stamped them all in black. (This seems to be my current *thing*. Haaa!) After that, I cut some strips to stitch on and added the Alphas from the previously released: Classic Block Alpha. ❤ these alphas!

I thought this would be fun for a teacher or a student! Or even for administration! 🙂

And then, I focused on the light bulb! I colored these very loosely with Copics for a different look.

I really enjoy all the fonts on these new sets! The handwriting mixed with straight text: ❤ !

This next card, I almost just tossed out. The next morning, I decided it was not as bad as I had thought the night before. Do you do this? It’s so silly! 🙂

For this card, I used both new Leading Lady sets, getting the clipboard from the new: Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Leading Ladies – Medical Lady By Brandi Kincaid. The coordinating dies I used are HERE. I also used the previously released: Abstract Paint Strokes.

When I finished this next card, it didn’t feel so cheerful. But I decided that it would actually be a pretty good man card to send. So I kept this one too. 🙂 This one uses more of the Essentials By Ellen Clear Stamps, Leading Ladies – Medical Lady By Brandi Kincaid set.

Loving that “feel better” sentiment–great size, great writing! 🙂 I also used a tag from the previously released: Concertina Tag.

I kept these cards pretty simple and enjoy how they turned out in the end. These new Leading Ladies are fun and quite a delight to have added to my collection! The actual ladies are sure to meet on a card here really soon! 😉 There’s a whole party going to happen!

Hope the rest of your weekend is great! Thanks so much for stopping by and thank you to Ellen Hutson for including me in their new release fun today!

Be sure to check out all the fun new products released today over at Ellen Hutson HERE! Have a great Sunday!

Thanks for stopping by!

Take care– Jill 🙂

Good Health

I had to do a double take that today was actually Friday! We have officially begun the countdown to school starting too. :/

Today, I’m popping in to share this clean and cheerful Paper Smooches card. I thought this one turned out fun. 🙂

After masking off the area, I blended on some ink for the background . I die cut the bike a few times and added some stripes. I stamped the sentiment and added stitching to finish it all off. ❤

Love having this card made and ready to mail! 🙂
