Taylored Expressions: Treat Boxes And…!

Happy Thursday! I’m back to share more about the new release over at Taylored ExpressionsΒ today! All the new products are available over at Taylored Expressions now!

Today, I’m here to share the new All Tucked in Christmas set. Love these little treat boxes for giving!

I used the previously released All Tucked In favor box and All Tucked In Windows to create a favor box for small holiday gift-giving. (I had a sweet little hand model to help me out with photos–paid in a candy sample, of course. πŸ™‚ )

I love these sweet fonts so much!

Cue the holiday music! πŸ™‚

Next up, a fun filled holiday card, ready to give! It is always so satisfying to use a lot of smaller stamps to create big, isn’t it?! I thought a “chalkboard” like look would be fun. I remember when chalkboard was all the rage! Or maybe it still is? As you can tell, I really have my finger on the pulse of trends, don’t I? Ha!! But I do love this truck! Are you with me? πŸ™‚

Such a fun background with all those sentiments and small little icons! ❀

TE Masking Stencils!

Hola! I hope you have enjoyed all the fun here and over at Taylored Expressions this week! I’m here for Day Three of sharing what my friend Laurie Willison created in conjunction with Taylored Expressions! These stencils are available over at Taylored Expressions now! 😊

My first card today uses one of the new rectangle stencils on top of an embossing folder. I embossed the panel first, but you could do the blend first and then emboss. I was thinking it would be fun to catch all the grooves and bits darker with my Taylored Expressions blender brushes this way. πŸ™‚

This card is oh so lovely for Fall! And honestly, it was fairly simple to make. The part that was the most consuming was decision making, as always. πŸ˜‚

This TE Hello sentiment die is one of my favorites of all, so I thought it a perfect fit! And this embossing folder: Delightful! Masks up so quick and easy with the stencil!

Next up, I have this card I made with the circle masking stencil and the edge of another masking stencil. Purple tape is your friend on this exercise. πŸ™‚

Smile! I was trying to think of all the possible options on this color blocking and finally just had to go with some! Ha!

This card is pretty straightforward and easy to make with these quick stencils. πŸ™‚

More fun with TE Masking Stencils!

Happy Wednesday! I’m here for Day Two of sharing what my friend Laurie Willison created in conjunction with Taylored Expressions! These stencils are available over at Taylored Expressions now! 😊

My first card today uses one of the new rectangle stencils twice on the same card. I simply masked off the area with the stencil and blended on inks and then did that again with a space at the bottom.

I think this all turned out fun and boy oh boy–how quickly you could make some quick sets with this technique! πŸ™‚

This sentiment is always a fave of mine! It is from the Dadisms stamp set. Go With the Flow is always a go-to TE stencil of mine. Perfect combo!

Next up, I have this very simple and sweet card:

I blended on some Blueberry ink in the square stencil and added some splats. Then I stitched on this sweet heart, die cut from felt and full of ❀ !

These stencils are just a complete game changer for me. They make things incredibly easy and clean to create this look I adore! So many times I have needed these over the years, and bam, here they are!! So excited for my friend and her idea! πŸ™‚

Taylored Expressions meets Laurie Willison!

Oh happiest of crafty days today to finally share this AWESOMENESS!!! My friend, Laurie Willison thought up this fantastic and oh so handy new set of stencils and they are available now from Taylored Expressions! I’ve waited so long to say this, so I will say it again: These stencils are available over at Taylored Expressions now! 😊

My first card today uses one of the new circle stencils in a different way than I’ve mostly used them for. And let me tell you how quick this is! Imagine the possibilities! Gah!!

I recommend spraying the stencils with Thermoweb’s Pixie Spray for quick and easy up stick to your cardstock. (You can also simple secure with Purple Tape.) I then just wipe the stencil clean with a dry cloth between blending on colors and it goes really swiftly!

I love the simplicity of these stencils and the ease of them. Rainbow action for the win! πŸ™‚ I used a sentiment from the Handlettered Sentiments and coordinating dies. Those are a fave set!

Next up, an example of what I pretty muchΒ  use these awesome stencils for all the time–masking off a frame on my card fronts. I have always used a t-ruler, pencil and post-it tape/notes. Yes, this method is still just fine. But NOW, soooo quick and easy with these stencils. PLUS, I don’t have to erase pencil lines–and risk smearing inks. AND I don’t get pencil lines trapped under ink! Hooray!!

Of course, I had to use theΒ  Set the Scene Clouds with these stencils. For a full stencil, I put the stencil on the bottom and the masking stencil over top. But because these clouds are in strips and you have to move them, I did the masking stencil on the bottom and the clouds on top. Naturally, Big Grumpy had to make another appearance with his little sign of too peopley! Which just makes me laugh every time. πŸ˜‰

I love that you can create this layered look in one layer, if you wanted to! These stencils are an essential cardmaking staple in my mind! πŸ™‚ Way to go, LDubs!! ❀ I’m excited for Laurie and Taylored Expressions that this all came together! πŸ™‚

The stencils have etched lines to show where to put your card panel or card base. One outline is for a full A2 card and the other is for a “typical” card front panel (matte, if you will), 4 x 5.25.

Here’s a little tip: You can rub in a little acrylic paint into the grooves and it make the lines more evident without interfering with the use of the stencil in anyway. And the paint stays on there. I used white, but you could use any bright color you want to create contrast.

Taylored Expressions: October Release!

Welcome to Release Day for Taylored Expressions October Release! All the new products are available over at Taylored Expressions now! Hooray!

My first card today is one of my definite favorite cards of this release. Which makes me laugh because in the end, it is so simple! But I ❀ that! This features the new Fluffy Friends stamp set. How cute is this little critter? And his friends in the set: Gah!!  πŸ™‚

I simply stamped, colored with Copics and die cut him out. Adding him to an embossed panel with embossed sentiment and stitching. The sentiment is from the new Fluffy FriendsHoliday too!

Just so cute! πŸ™‚

Next up, I have my favorite iconic “thing” for the holidays: Christmas Lights! This background stamp is called Bright Lights Background. This includes a new sentient from the Handlettered Holiday 2 set and coordinating die. πŸ˜‰

This is awesome because you don’t color in the lights (Unless you want to, of course.) You just stamp the little stamp fillers in to fill the lights from your ink pads! SOOO fast! I added a little darker ink on the sides after for effect.  πŸ™‚

And this sentiment rocks from the Handlettered Christmas 2 set, all die cut out!

Taylored Expressions Release Week: Day 3

Welcome to Day Three of Taylored Expressions OctoberΒ Sneak Peek Week! If you missed my other two posts earlier this week,Β  I’ll link you up down below. πŸ™‚

Today, I am sharing one of my other favorite cards of this release featuring All is BrightΒ  with All is Bright Die. I paired it with the previously released background, Twinkle Twinkle background with a couple yellows including the newer Dijon color! Perfect!

I stamped on two different reds and two different yellows to give it some depth. I added some die cut greens from the new die Winter Greens! ❀

I added a few accents with Copic Markers and a white gel pen to add a little somethin’ somethin’! πŸ™‚

Next up, I have a card I made with the new Follow the Star. This is such a picturesque Christmas Card. I blended on TE inks with the blender brushes, added some paint splats and die cut everything out. Again using the Twinkle Twinkle in the background. That background is a holiday delight!

I thought this turned out lovely, especially adding the embossed background behind it all for some added texture. And of course, Simple Strips-Holiday. Simple Strips die works for all the full size Simple Strips backgrounds. (There is a smaller one for the smaller strips. That one works for all the smaller versions too!)

This will be a lovely one to send at Christmas! ❀
