Gel Printing from Taylored Expressions!

Today, there is a NEW Kit available over at  Taylored Expressions! The Gel Printing kit is AWESOME and really, really fun! If you have never tired Gel Press (like me) before, you’re going to become quickly addicted. I couldn’t stop making prints!

For all my cards, I only used the paint in the kits. You can achieve a WIDE variety of colors from just these tubes of pain, as you can see below.

This was so fun how it turned out. Be sure you relax and enjoy the process on the Gel Press. Many of us struggle with control while creating (me!) and this is not the place to worry. 🙂

Stencils ahoy! This one below is the new Willow Stencil and the one above is the new Trendy Triangles stencil.

I finished this one off the the Petite Rectangle Stacklet and some black bits.

Lastly, I used the Dizzy Daisy Stencil to really go off the rails for another fun one! It’s great to try all the things when gel pressing!

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions. Hooray!

Here’s the TE scoop:

If you love the idea of printing your own patterns in a variety of colors and designs then you’re going to love what you can accomplish with our Gel Printing Kit! Gel press printing is a technique that uses a gel printing plate (a soft and sticky plate made out of a polymer material) and a medium, like acrylic paint or dye-based inks, to create artistic prints and patterns. Everything in this project kit was hand-selected by Gel Press expert Lydia Fiedler to get you started creating unique gel press backgrounds for your cards!

The Gel Printing Kit retails for $69 and includes:

  • One 5″ x 7″ Gel Press Plate
  • Five 4 oz tubes of acrylic paint (blue, magenta, yellow, pearl metallic white and titanium white)
  • 20 sheets of Gel Press Paper (5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″)
  • One 4″ Soft Rubber Speedball Brayer
  • One 2 oz bottle of gel hand sanitizer (for removing paint residue from the plate)
  • A hinged Gel Press Storage Tin (7 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ x 1″)

Once you complete your kit purchase, you will receive an email (separate from your order confirmation email) with a link to the exclusive class video on YouTube. Watch it as often as you like and learn some great gel press printing tips and tricks while discovering inspiration for more designs!

In addition to the Gel Printing Kit, we are offering a new background stamp, several new stencil designs, and packages of Gel Press Paper! You can use the new stamp and stencils with your gel press or for other paper crafting projects.

I’ll be back to update all my supply lists later! 🙂

Stamp Joy Exclusives now available!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today!  It has the products from the Spring Virtual Stamp Joy event! And they are good ones, for sure!

There is a bunch of new rainbow goodness in this release that I cannot wait to use myself! But let’s get started with what I did use today, shall we?!

First up, I have the Kaleidoscope Cutting Plate which was super fun to make. I was inspired by… can you guess? Good n Plenty candy! 🙂

I also used two sentiments from the A Few Phrases set, which is a small little set that packs a punch with a bunch of well used sentiments.

This took a wee bit to piece all the Good n Plenties in 😉 , but I think in the end it was SO worth it! I love to do this while watching TV because you don’t have think–you just need to match up the puzzle pieces and be sure to NOT lose them! I finished this off with some stitching and some Cosmic Bits. 🙂

Also, in case you missed it–there is a NEW gift with purchase over at TE this October month–it is called Winter Village. You can check out all the cards I made with this stamp on my post from Tuesday: HERE.

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions. See my links below  🙂

Hanukkah Release from Taylored Expressions!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today !!  It has a handful of goodies to celebrate Hanukkah! What a wonderful release to add to your collection to celebrate Hanukkah.

Today, I used the new Get the Word Out- Happy and Get the Word Out – Happy Shadow along with a few previously released products. Funny enough, even though this is a Hanukkah release, as discussed above, I ended up making more of a Holiday Season card.

To create the background I used one of my SUPER faves, the Modern Holly Layering Stencils with greens and Guava. I then die cut the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Stacklets with that. To finish it off, I die cut the ombre Happy along with the On the Repeat-Holiday and popped those in the Frame in Frame 2 die.

I just love the way the greens come out on this stencil and I just have so much fun layering these stencils. I finished this with some stitching and some Clear Drip Drops… which reminds me that I need to purchase some more of those, since I am running low! ahhhh!

Also, one more thing while I have you–there is a NEW gift with purchase over at TE this October month–it is called Winter Village and it is a good one! I haven’t seen a free gift that I haven’t like yet! Anyway, I wanted to share a few cards I had made with it here:

I thought this one worked wonderfully to just sent a Season’s Greetings type card. The new Arch Stacklets frame a scene perfectly!

This next card is sort of any time kind of card–Welcome to the Neighborhood! I kept this one pretty simple too. (This sentiment is from the OH MY WORD – HELLO set.

The tag is from the Pierced Tag Stacklets–a long time FAVE! 🙂

Lastly, more of a Christmas card, if you will, but using alternate color scheme that I think I would normally reach for with Christmas cards?

Oh how I loved how soft and sweet this one turned out!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Right now through Sunday, October 10th you can get all of the new Hanukkah products in one click! The ‘I Want it All Bundle’ retails for $82.50 and includes:

  • Foil It – Hanukkah
  • Bright Hanukkah
  • Bright Hanukkah Dies
  • Simple Strips – Hanukkah
  • Get the Word Out – Happy
  • Get the Word Out – Happy Shadow
  • On Repeat – Hanukkah
  • Exclusive Glitter Cardstock Pack (4 sheets each of Dark Blue, Light Blue and Silver)

Offer valid from 9am (CT) on Oct 5 through 11:59 pm on Oct 10 (or while supplies last)

Christmas Release from Taylored Expressions!

Taylored Expressions has their big Christmas Release today !!  It’s a big one filled with all things Christmas, Winter, Holidays and Festive fun! 🙂

I can’t wait to use all the things to craft my little holiday heart out. But for now, let’s get to what I have made so far, yes?

First up today, I have the new Little Critters Christmas + coordinating dies. I also used the previously released Circle and Square Window Frames.

The background is created with the Backstory Christmas Background embossed in white on Sugar Cube. It’s not very apparent in these photos (because white on white), but in person, it gives it that little extra something.

Everyone is colored with Copic Markers and the panel is cut out with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets. Gah these little guys are TOO cute!!! And the best part is they can be used all winter long! Or heck, even in the summer with their friends, Little Critters! 😊

Next up, we have the super fun Trendy Tree Farm. I was pretty darn excited to get this layering stencil set. I love the modern feel of this fun set and anything with layering stencils you know is just going to fun and easy to create with! I paired this with the new Merry & Bright sentiment set + dies.

I used the following inks on the stencils: Guava, Cupcake, Peaches n Cream, Pineapple, Lemon, Mint Julep, and Blueberry.

The background is created with the previously release Twinkle Twinkle Background embossed on white using Mint Julep cardstock. I die cut the panel out with the Frame in Frame 2 die. I thought it would be fun to stamp the trees and sentiment in Blueberry to mix things up a bit. OH and also, I die cut all the Trendy Trees out with the Trendy Tree Farm Cutting Plate–boom! All at once! SCORE!

Lastly, I used the new Beautiful Baubles dies. These dies coordinate with the previously released Beautiful Baubles Layering Stencils. So now you can die cut these out and use them individually. I did just that here, creating a little bundle of ornaments.

To create this frame, I die cut Pineapple cardstock with the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate. I used the Beautiful Baubles Add Ons for the sentiment and the little ornament topper.

In my continued effort to mix up my color pallets, I used Sweet Basil, Lollipop and Pineapple for this card. I thought it turned out fun with a little different twist! 🙂

Christmas Cards! Always a fun time of the year! 🙂

Wheatfield Dreams from Taylored Expressions

Today, there is a NEW Kit available over at  Taylored Expressions! The Wheatfield Dreams kit is designed by my friend Lori Craig and it is as delightful as her previous two kits: Field Notes and Field Notes 2. This one is a nod to Lori’s home state of Kansas and it is a delight!

I started out getting super crafty with all the watercolor colors. I first embossed the new wheat stamp and then added a bunch of watercolors and blended around. I used the new Honey and Mulled Wine watercolor.

This kit has lovely sentiments in it too. I stamped this one on a small piece of torn vellum and heat embossed it before stitching it on to finish off the card.

I finished it up by die cutting with the Petite Scallop Rectangle stacklet, naturally. 🙂

Next up, I thought it would be a fun twist to do a rainbow color wave with the Burlap Background in the kit and some partial die cutting.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and layered this up to match. Now, I’m thinking I might have liked to layer it up with foam tape. Next time maybe. 🙂

I added some score lines to the card base and kept the rest fairly simple. I finished off both of these with some twine and some stitching, which I find fitting for this kit.

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions. Hooray!

Here’s the TE scoop:

Here’s everything included in the Wheatfield Dreams Kit – which is available for $69:

  • Wheatfield Dreams stamp set
  • Wheatfield Dreams die collection
  • Burlap Background stamp
  • Foil It – Wheatfield
  • Mini Embossing Powder – Copper
  • 6 A2 Envelopes, 2 each of: Honey, Mulled Wine, and Sweet Basil
  • Packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom kit label

Limited quantity available. Most items are not available to purchase individually.

You will be able to purchase additional envelope seals (pack of 10) and new TE Liquid Watercolor colors (Honey, Mulled Wine, and Sweet Basil) separately.

You say it’s your Birthday–It’s TE’s Birthday Too!

Taylored Expressions has a New BIRTHDAY Release today !!  Taylored Expressions is 13 years old, so now officially a TEENAGER!! ahhhh! 🙂 Happy Happy Birthday to TE!! 🎁🎈✨🎈✨🎁

To celebrate, TE has a bounty of things going on this month–you definitely want to check out the Taylored Expressions Blog this month. Lots of challenges and giveaways and all sorts of goodness!

For now, let’s get to this fun new release, shall we?

First up, we have the new Sweet Shoppe Stencil & Clear Combo that is a tasty little delight! Anything that layers this easily to give such fun results: I’m all in!

The Cupcakes themselves are created with the layering stencils. That simple lovely effect you get with just using a heavier hand with the same ink is genius! So easy to use and this makes them so fun to create!

Once you have your cupcakes all set up, then you can use the clear stamp set to go back and add sprinkles and all the details, if you so desire. Even without them though, they are sweet enough to eat! 🙂 Check out all the ink colors I used in my supply list below–a rainbow!

The background on this Mini Slim Card I created with the Mini Slim Swiss Dots stencil and the fun stamps from the new Piece of Cake stamp set. The sentiment is from the new Mini Strips-Birthday. I think I used every sentiment in this Mini Strips set this month? ha! 🙂 Good stuff!

Next up, I have this fun shaker card using the Piece of Cake die and all the new Tiny Diamonds in Bold and Pastel! I thought this one turned out fun with all the colorful layers. TE actually auctioned this one off for charity–I hope it was able to raise some money. 🙂

This isn’t difficult to make by any means, you just have to be precise with cutting your foam tape to get in between the cake layers. Also, I used the die upside down, but don’t tell anyone ;).

The sentiment is again from the Mini Strips-Birthday set. Eat All the Cake!! 🙂

And one more card for today–it’s a funny one using the new All Inside-Snarky Birthday. (Which, incidentally, I used on the other birthday cards here today, but then forgot to take pics–I ALWAYS forget to the photo the insides!! gah!)

How true is this sentiment? Seriously embarrassing. haaaaa!! I also use a festive fun new stencil called the Sprinkles Rotating stencil. And that’s excactly how it works. Set it up, blend some ink, rotate, rotate, rotate and voila! I used a few different colors per rotation, but using just one would be perfect too!

The cute little car is from the Punny Notes set. I love that little set of cuteness and find myself reaching for it often. I colored the car with Copic Markers. Excuse me while I go turn down the stereo. 😂

Too fun! There is a boatload of other new goodies in this release, so you’re definitely going to want to check out the rest of the Creative Team’s projects and follow along for the rest of the month. Today is actually my son’s birthday, so we’ll be celebrating ourselves here today! 🙂

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Right now through Sunday, September 19th (or while supplies last), you can get the 13th Birthday Bundle for 15% off! Fall Release from Taylored Expressions!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today for FALL!! 🍂 This is not to be confused with the Halloween release because this one is all things Autumn! Well, besides Halloween! 😆 too funny

Autumn is my favorite season so making these cards, I was getting all antsy for my sweatshirts and cozy blankets on the couch. And of course, I always love the warm colors of Fall too.

First up though, I decided to do a little fall and a little Guava. 🙂 This is the new Signature Thanks die and backer die. The backer die is always the clincher isn’t it? Makes everything so easy to put together.

I also used the new Swirls Pierce Cutting Plate to create these backgrounds. Nothing is better than a simply made background to give everything so much detail and pop!

I feel like I should have made more of these at the time because I can use these for use for just about any occasion throughout the year.

I used Sweet Basil for the green on a continued journey of me branching out in my color ways. 🙂

And then on the inside, (I actually remembered to stamp the inside!), I used the new Inside Scoop-Thanks. I’d definitely recommend using these sentiment stamps on the front of your cards too!

Next up, I have a fun one! This one uses the new What a Hoot Cling and Clear combo (and die!).

I REALLY branched out with all these colors I used and at first I wasn’t too sure about them, but now they are definitely growing on me. 🙂 I

I also used the previously released Modern Tree Background and Stencil combo. That one is always a fun one to use in my book.

Naturally,  I had to add some googley eyes to the hooty owl. 🙂 And of course, the fact I used purple anything still has me not knowing who actually made this card. Ha! We’ll see how much longer I continue on my branching on on color ways. 🙂

This little What a Hoot set is too cute! 🙂

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Free envelopes & seals:
With any purchase of Fall products (old and new!) of $75 or more, you will receive a FREE pack of envelopes and custom Autumn Blessings envelope seals. TE Exclusives–Now available…

The exclusives that Taylored Expressions offered with purchase of $100 or more are all NOW available for purchase! I always love this release because there are such fun things that I have been wanting and didn’t snag in time. 🙂

These are the following items released:

  • January: Hi Hey Hello Background
  • February: Bursting Blooms Stamp Set
  • March: Itty Bitty Sentiments
  • April: Mixed Blooms Layering Stencil
  • May: Gathered Stars Die
  • June: Summer Vibes Background

And the background in this list above are amongst my faves from the freebies offered at Taylored Expressions these last months!

On with my cards, shall we! For these the main fun is die cut using the Off the Hook die! Gah this is so much fun.

For all my cards, I used Lollipop, Cookie Monster and Lemon Meringue cardstock–I had to laugh because when I shared these, I couldn’t help thinking 80’s! The 80’s called and I answered!

I stamped the Hey Hey Hello background on Sugar Cube cardstock with Earl Grey ink and pieced that on all three cards, about half way. I then added stitching to each with my machine.

The sentiments on all of these come from the Simple Strips: Snarky. Of course. Because that is one of my favorites for a laugh! 🙂

This Off the Hook die cut is super easy to use and I’m all about that. Complicated die cuts are awesome but I know myself and if it is too much, I tend to not use them as much. But this one came together 1-2-3!

I used the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles on all of these to pull the other thing together, also while framing the main event.

I have to share this quick little story, speaking of phones:

I had a little girl come into my work office the other day and ask what the phone was. I had to laugh because of course she may have never seen a phone before. I’m sure her parents have cell phones and that’s that. The things you never think about. 🙂

I’m Done with People. These sentiments cracks me up and I have friends that I know fully appreciate the snarky humor as well. ❤

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions.

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Now, through Sunday, August 29th, save 30% on our select summer favorites! If you have had your eye on some of these stamp sets, die, and stencils, now is the time to add them to your collection and save at the same time!

Abstract Kit from Taylored Expressions

Today, there is a NEW Kit available over at  Taylored Expressions! It’s call the Abstract Kit and it has endless possibilities! There are so many different ideas and color combos I can think of with these stencils alone. Gah! 🙂

I started out using the stencils mostly with different color inks. I chose a more Fall inspired palette, mostly because I was all about the autumn colors when I made these.

I used the Frame in Frame 2 die and a combo of the stencils with the stamps to create little piles in the corners.

I love cards like these because I feel like there are endless possibilities to colors and configurations with these. This makes them fun to mass produce and super for making and gifting card sets!

The stamps are fun to add on top of each other or just as little bits here and there. These are so simple but yet they were so fun to design.

AND for the record, I used Avocado ink… and I’m not sure I have ever used Avocado before? Is that possible? ha! 🙂

I finished off both of these with some twine and some stitching. ❤

I also wanted to use the Subtle Sprigs die set  additional die cuts, Branch Out die set, you can add on to your kit.

For this card  AND the next, I also branched out (wink wink) and used the Dijon cardstock! Again, have I used this before? I really stretched my color windows for this kit. 🙂

I die cut from both the Dijon and the Sweet Potato Pie, piecing everything back in again. For the backgrounds on both my cards, I used the Shiplap Background stamped with Mushroom.

The Shiplap Background is in that must-have category for me. So versatile! I also used Plum Punch! Seriously, who am I? I clear embossed the sentiment on Vellum to make them stand out a wee bit more

And once again, I finished these off with some twine and stitching. 🙂

This kit is easily one of my faves. I know I probably say that often, but thinking about using all these graphic stamps and stencils on my other projects so easily, makes my little crafty heart sing. 🙂

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions.

Here’s the TE scoop:

Here’s everything included in the In the Abstract Kit – which is available for $72:

Halloween Release from Taylored Expressions!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today for Halloween!! 👻🍂 This is always a fun release and makes me long for crunchy leaves and layers of clothes… because our Fall is often really cold in the morning and then by noon you are sweating bullets. Ha! But I digress… on to the new Halloween Release!

First up, I have this spooky little glittertastic number! For this, I used the new Jack-O-Lantern Stencil with the Glitter Grab and TE Glitter. I was quite sparkly when I finished.

This sentiment is from the previously released Handlettered Halloween. I stamped it on Eggplant and clear embossed for some interest. I die cut the Frame in Frame 2 die with the TE Glitter Cardstock. I love how that made quick work to create a sparkly frame!

Next up, these fun little treat Halloween Critter Clips and with glassine treat bags! And then there are these stickers too! Gah, always enjoy the stickers! ❤

I used the TE Halloween Felt Bundle felts and adhered them on some Oreo Cardstock for heft. This extra step also made it easy to attach them to the clip. I love the spider best maybe? Don’t tell the other spooky cuties though. 😉

He’s too funny! Naturally, I had to add some google eyes to these guys too. 🙂

These are going to be so fun to give to coworkers this Halloween. Though, I might eat the candy and replace it closer to Halloween…? shhhhh…

And lastly, I thought it would be fun to make this shaker card with the new Sugar Rush lil lollipops.

This was a fun one to make. I decided to die cut the lollipops out and then re-insert them into their negative cardstock. This just made it easier to use the stencils on them to create the designs. It allowed me to know a little better to center the lollipop. And yes, do not adjust your screen–I did make a lavender lollipop. 🙂 I masked off the sticks to create stripes.

I thought this would be extra fun as a spiral and a shaker card. These could easily be made into Halloween colors as well. All the Sugar Rush treats would be super fun for tags–especially for treats!

The Simple Strip sentiment is from the SS Thanks set. I stamped that on Toffee and white heat embossed it. Actually, I did this way back. I am a big fan of stamping a lot of Simple Strips at once and then storing them in the Simple Strips Storage Containers  until I need. Nothing makes my cardmaking day like having an embossed sentiment all ready to go! 🙂

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Free envelopes stickers promotion:
With any purchase of Halloween products (old and new!) of $75 or more, you will receive a FREE pack of envelopes and custom Halloween envelope seals.
