Fire up the Minc–New Foil Fun from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today with a boatload of new Foil It Panels! This has been my recent go-to for making card sets. It adds a lot of fun really simply and elegantly. Plus, let’s face it, I just love to run the panels through the machine with all the foils!

First up, I have a duo using the Gathered Greenery Foil-It panels and the Branches & Blooms Foil-It panels. Both of these are foiled in Silver foil to keep them easy to add color too. Though, I think any solid color foil works to add color too. I mean, why not, right?Β  πŸ™‚

The Gathered Greenery card I used the Rectangle Masking Stencil on. I blended on yellow and green inks–super easy. This is a great way to add some pop with no dimension.

It allowed me to then add the flower from the Planting Happiness set and the sentiment from Foil It – On Occasion, which is also new!

The Branches & Blooms cardΒ includes a sentiment from Simple Strips In Reverse – Everyday Occasions which I also foiled in Silver.

I colored this with Copic Markers and I love how soft it turned out!

I backed the sentiment with Easy Strips–all the sizes!

Next up, I have the Mini Slim Botanical–I decided to foil this one in Denim and add the rosey pinks of Guava and Cupcake to the background.

I silver heat embossed the Mini Slim Botantical Sentiment on Vellum and stitched that on the inside, adhering it all with foam tape for some oomph!

I thought this one turned out lovely and I had wished I made a few more at the time! ha! Always.

Lastly, I have the new Foil It-The Right Angle with an edgy card. Ok, it’s not edgy but it is on the right angle. Bwaaahahahhaa! Ok moving on… πŸ™‚

I thought I’d try out a new color way for this one: Dijon, Poblano and Mint Julep. I like it–it can be used for men and women… score!

Once again, I used the Simple Strips In Reverse – Everyday Occasions for the sentiment. I wanted some stars, so I cut all the Little Bits-Stars out of the remnants of the above Simple Strips. It just takes a little patience and determination and you can get well over a dozen stars out of the scraps. So I stashed those away for the future. πŸ˜‰

It reminds me of stained glass for sure!

Lastly, I thought I would share the card set I made to gift to a friend. These panels, Foil It-Full of Flowers, were previously released, but they are still available and the foiled sentiments are the new ones called Foil It – On Occasion (The On Occasion die was previously released and works for these too!)

I just gave these to her and I do believe she loved them as she said she was going to stash them. πŸ˜‚

That little added touch of foil is fun fun! And with the stencil to coordinate–color, color done! πŸ™‚

I kept them simple with just a touch of added stitching to round them out. This will make them easy to mail. Don’t forget the TE Envelope Seals!

Such a great little gift to give! πŸ™‚

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Summer Release from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today to celebrate Summer and have some fun! πŸ™‚

Lots of new goodies–definitely some summer fun and also some new graphic products that make me happy.

First up, let’s have a Pool Party! These products are all part of the Pool Party Bundle that is going on this week, while supplies last. The background is created with the new Cool Pool Rotating Stencil. Don’t you want to just want to jump in the water!? I do! I created this with Mint Julep and Sprinkles ink and it looks so refreshing! I cut out the pool with the Arched Stacklets.

I colored these little cuties with Copic Markers and adhered them on with Foam Tape. I also added some Bits & Pieces – Clear Drip Drops to finish it off. So super fun!!  I just love these little stamps! I wish that was me right about now…

Next up, these great new graphic goodies. There is a new Triple Slim-Boho Stencil + Clear Combo AND this great new Mini Slim Half Dots die. I focused on the die for my cards.

This is the kind of card that is so therapeutic to put together. It’s fun to pick the colors and then just go ahead and pop the colors in. For this first one, I just randomly placed the pieces of cardstock. I used Lollipop, Sweet Potato, Peaches & Cream, and Dijon. These are so fun to make the best part is when you cut all these pieces, you can create multiple cards.

This sentiment is from the Boho Hellos. There are coordinating dies to go with it– which makes them very easy to use on all the things! These new sentiments are a fast new fave along with the other sentiment set released today called Hello Sunshine. The Hello Sunshine set has some fun & fresh shapes to the sentiments.

I love this Boho Retro feel!

I decided to make another card with a different color set: Red Pepper, Pineapple, Sweet Basil and Blueberry. Again, I used the Boho Hellos sentiment set.

Same idea on a card–this one was a little more systematic to create. I’m all about the random though. πŸ™‚

I heat embossed the sentiment on this one and added some simpler stitching. Love these cards!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Right now through Sunday, June 19th, when you purchase the Pool Party Bundle (Pool Party stamp set, Pool Party die collection, and Cool Pool Rotating Stencil) you will receive a container (1 oz.) of Cookie Monster embossing powder FREE! Offer valid while supplies last.

Wedding Release–New from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today for Weddings–and Anniversaries, and Engagements and Showers….. well, you get the idea! This is a fun one for sure. So lovely and elegant.

First up, is the lovely and super simple Foil It – Mr. & Mrs. with the Summer Rainbow Foil. (I might have eeeped with I peeled this Summer Rainbow Foil off–so fun!). I added the new How Does Your Garden Grow little flowers with the Bits & Pieces – Pearl Drip Drops centers–those are new this release as well, and PERFECT for wedding/engagement/anniversary cards!

The background is created with the coordinating die called Mr. & Mrs. Pierce & Cut Plate that eloquently cuts around the foiled sentiment perfectly. I am a big fan of this lovely subtle detail!

I keep saying I need to foil a few of these and have them ready for weddings/anniversaries and engagements. But then I laugh because those things don’t generally pop up overnight! Ha! πŸ™‚ (Well, an engagement can!)

Next up, is this lovely called Happily Ever After. And I know you might be sitting in shock because it is very purple! But I believe these new “purples” are more violet–more blueish purple and this I love! πŸ™‚

The Happily Ever After die cuts the dress and then you can stencil over it with the Happily Ever After stencil. There is also a coordinating die that die cuts this pattern into the dress. Be sure to check that out.

I used the newest colors: Dried Fig and Macaron, along with the trusty Eggplant to add a little more darkness to the edges. So lovely! The Congrats sentiment is new–it is called All the Way-Congrats and I embossed that in silver. I cut the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets to create the panels adding the Pierced Circles cutting plate to the Sugar Cube layer. This is such a sweet card to give a bride for her shower or any reason really! And I think the dress can be used for many other occasions too, don’t you?

Here’s the scoop from TE:

When you purchase theΒ Mr. & Mrs. BundleΒ (Mr. & Mrs. stamp, Mr. & Mrs. Pierce & Cut Plate die, Foil It – Mr. & Mrs. panels, and How Does Your Garden Grow die collection) now through Sunday, June 12th, you will get a FREE exclusive video craft along class with Taylor!

Eucalyptus! New Kit from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a new Cardmaking Kit today and it is all Eucalyptus! Oh the soothing Eucalyptus plant. Is it a plant or a tree? Wow, now I am wondering. πŸ™‚

First up, I used one of the toner panels to foil over before stenciling everything on with the Eucalyptus layering stencils. I used the Aqua foil again–I sure love that foil.

I added the sentiment from the Scripted Sentiments in the kit before adding the stitching and the Drip Drops to finish it off. The soft green color palette is soothing! Just like Eucalyptus right?

These can be shipped up pretty quick in a group. πŸ™‚

Next up, I thought it would be fun to add the Shiplap background down before making my Eucalyptus wreath with the dies in kit. I used lots of the NEW TE Colors to create this one. Check out my supply list.

These colors look awesome together and it created the soft color palette I was looking for. Maybe not the color of Eucalyptus, but it’s cardmaking! Get crazy! πŸ™‚

Stars and Stripes Release: New from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a New Stars & Stripes Release today to celebrate America and the 4th of July! (But many things are perfect to use throughout the year! Just with different color combos πŸ˜‰ )

This release always gets me fully ready for summer! I feel like Memorial Day starts Summer and boom, we’re off!! πŸ™‚

First up, I have a fun little patriotic number using the new Mix & Match – Stars & Stripes Cutting Plate. I thought it would be fun to create a striped background with Sugar Cube cardstock and the Easy Strips dies (1/4″ and 1/2″) work swimmingly for this–highly recommend!

The new Mix & Match dies are fun to use and I have a hunch there will be more to Mix & Match with? Maybe? I don’t actually know, but it would be fun! To create the center vocal point I double Masked using the Masking Stencils – Rectangles & Masking Stencils – Stars with Blueberry Ink.

To finish it off, I added some Blueberry stars using the newly released Little Bits- Stars. (IF you are wondering do I really need this little start die? The answer: YES. Where has this been all my life? πŸ˜‚) I stamped the sentiment in Cherry Pop ink and clear embossed it with Versamark over the top and Clear TE Embossing Powder. So festive!!

Next up, I created another Infinity Shaker card using the Infinity Shaker panels and lots of new Stars! I used the previously released Fireworks Stamp & Stencil Combo and the new Foil It – Acetate Happy 4th of July. For the foil, I used the Deco Foil Transfer Sheet – Silver Stars foil (It’s a fave–I better order more!)

The way the photo took, it looks yellowish, but in person, it look very much clear see through and white! I promise πŸ˜‰

There are Foil It panels that match up perfectly with the Fireworks Stamp & Stencil Combo so you can foil the little center stars and then blend on all the inks for the fireworks. I wrapped it all up in the Frame in Frame 2. It was a fun little switch up to use pinks and the blues vs. the Cherry Pop and the Blueberry, which I tend to reach for in regards to Fourth of July Cards.Β  The new shaker bits are in there too! They are called: Bits & Pieces – Clay Stars and there are some new sparkly ones too!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Right now through Sunday, May 29th you will get the Downtown Border die FREE with a purchase of $75 or more. This cityscape border coordinates with many of the new products from the Stars & Stripes release to create a patriotic scene on your card creations, plus this border die will work well for many other card themes and occasions!Β Offer valid while supplies last.

Taylored Expressions: NEW Colors!

Taylored Expressions has a New COLOR Release today and it’s GOOD stuff! When was the last time we had new colors? I can’t remember, but I bet they will talk about it on the TE Blog or Taylor will mention on her Facebook Live today on the Taylored Expressions site. πŸ™‚

The new colors are:Β  Rose Water, Banana Cream Pie, Dried Fig, Macaron, Oyster, and Tropical Punch.

First up, I used the Roundabout Stencil to create a fun pattern on this card before adding the Simple Strips – Snarky sentiments… which, of course, make me LAUGH! I used the following colors: Rose Water, Sweet Potato Pie, Dijon, Tropical Punch and Oyster. (I’m feeling Oyster is going to be used on everything henceforth! It’s the color I have been pining for πŸ˜‚)

I masked off the “squares” using Post-it tape and just kept the pattern random and flowing. I think this turned out fun in the end, adding the splat and some stitching. πŸ™‚ This stencil is cool because you can make it look like these “squares” like I did, or make it more like petals, inking it the other way, splaying the petals out. Does that make sense?

Next up, I took a swing at the NEW cardstocks! I love the Layer It – Toadstools and I thought those would be fun to make a clean and simple card. I added the sentiment from Just Saying, which I thought was perfect for “mushrooms” since they just kind pop up, just like this card in the mail. πŸ™‚

I used the following colors for this one: Pineapple, Poblano Pepper, Oyster, Pineapple and Plum Punch. Random, I know! I like to mix it up crazy sometimes. πŸ™‚

I created the background with the recently released Cloudy Skies Piercing Plate and the last year (?) released Build a Scene – Heart Fence & Hill to create a simple and fun scene. I have a bunch of Toadstools left, so I need to make another! πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoy adding the new colors to your collection!! I can’t wait to SWATCH all the things myself!!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

We have a one stop shop ready for those of you who want to pick up all of the new colors with one click. The I Want it All New Color Bundle includes:

Father’s Day Release–New from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today for Dad’s and so much more! I am actually looking forward to using the fun fish puns for “Hello Friend” cards. You’ll see that neither of my cards today are really “made for Father’s Day”, which just shows all the versatility of this release, as always.

First up, I used the Hook, Line, & Sinker set. This includes these larger fish and the coordinating dies. I also backed the fish with a die cut of the fish from Blue Corn cardstock. This gives them a little oomph to stand off from the background (a shadow, if you will). It’s a full background of fish to stamp and then you use the stencils to add all the colors. Imagine all the rainbow fish we can make! πŸ™‚

I created the swirly rainbow fish background with the Just Keep Swimming Stencil, using the rainbow palette idea. I love the fun way this turned out. I thought about making the fish all wonky with their googley eyes, but decided on a straight forward swim. πŸ˜‚

To finish this card off, I stamped the sentiment from the Reely Great Stamp & Die Combo set. I added a little Stickles glitter, some stitching and score lines and bam! Done! πŸ™‚

Next up, I used the NEWEST CREATE IN QUADS! Ohhhh I do love these! This is the Create-In-Quads Hexagon layering stencil set! This one moves into the fave category–quick!

For this one, I used Pineapple, Lollipop, Cookie Monster and Lime Zest to blend in all the inks. I love this pattern. It is so cool how the colors interact. I made a more masculine set with this stencil set too and I’m just reminded I didn’t edit the pics yet!

This playful sentiment is from the fittingly named, Oh Yes You Did stamp set. I stamped that in Oreo and die cut an A2 Thin Frame Cutting Plate in Lollipop to frame it all out. To finish this one off, I added a little stitching, a few silver stars from the GatheredΒ Stars set and some Cosmic Drip Drops.

I have the other panels sitting on my desk to make cards with too. Time has been elusive this past week or so. Ack! But I will use them soon. Fingers crossed!

So, as you can see, while it is a “Father’s Day Release”, neither of my cards really is for Father’s Day. I could use them for that, but I would probably send these to friends instead. πŸ™‚

Oh Baby–New Release from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today that includes products for Babies! And goodness, just like babies, this release is adorable!

First up, we have the new Onesie Funsies and I obviously could not stop making them! I love these little sentiments you can stamp on the onesies and I wanted to use them all! πŸ™‚

First, I blended on all the inks using the new Gingham Rotating Stencil. I made one 6 x 6 panel and managed to cut out (5) full onsies and (2) partial onsies! EEEEEk they are the best! And then there are new little silver Hangers that put the cuteness over the top!! πŸ™‚

I thought it would be sweet to use theΒ  Scalloped Notecard die and create a handful of these little cards. They work perfectly for little shower gifts for when a baby arrives. I use these a lot for babies–because itty bitty! πŸ™‚

The Snuggle is REAL! πŸ™‚

This Blowouts one might be my fave! πŸ˜‚

Naps are for Quitters. I die!! So cute! I just the Frame in Frame 2 and added some simple score lines and splatters to them all to complete the panels with some stitching. I love how these turned out, letting the little Onesies Funsies shine! πŸ™‚

Gah! And then, things keep on up with the CUTE! There is a new die set called Vintage Wooden Toys and you can add cute little button wheels to complete the look. Definitely be sure to check out the rest of the Creative Team’s cards for examples–they are ADORABLE!!

I went with a simple little whale from the set, using the die piece that is supposed to be his tail later as the water spout. It works both ways, doesn’t it?! πŸ˜‰

I created the blended background with the Mini Slim Tidal stencil using a handful of inks (see supplies for colors). The sentiment is the New Oh Baby die and I thought that was fun adding the pink little heart in it. πŸ™‚

And a heart of vellum behind the whale using the Heart Stacklets dies.

I stenciled all of the Mini Slim Tidal inside of the Mini Slim Scalloped Masking stencil. I love layering stencils like that. I creates a multilayer look without actually adding any layers! Perfect for mailing. Of course, I had to pop on a little big googley eye too! πŸ™‚

So cute! Babies are always fun to create cards for! ❀

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Right now through 11:59 PM Central Sunday, May 8th, you will get an A2 Cardstock New Color Sampler Pack with any purchase of $75 or more. New Over the Moon Kit from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a new Cardmaking Kit in town and it just might be out of this world–aka Over the Moon! πŸ™‚

The kit comes with these great sentiments and the Copper Star Shaker bits–not to mention there FABULOUS envelopes! eeek!

I started out using the Foil It-Over the Moon Panels (which can be purchased separately if you are a foiler. They are funnnnnnn! I foiled one in rainbow and one in silver.

I think I might favor the rainbow one? Hmmmmm πŸ™‚

Here’s a better pic of the rainbow one. That foiling though–so hard to capture in still photos.

I Silver Heat embossed the sentiments on Blue Corn and cut them out with the die in the kit. They are a little shiny when you see them in person. I tucked in some Easy Strips cut out of Sugar Cube behind them, to give them a little “lift” on the card front.

I used TE’s Silver Cardstock for the back panel and also used it to die cut out the stars that are also in the kit. All this shimmer sham!! πŸ™‚

This one turned out fun for sure!

Next up, I decided to shake things up a bit! I created a shaker card using the bits included in the card kit as well as adding some additional Snow Flurries and Bits & Pieces Sparkly Stars.

If you run the Moon Die back through your die cut machine with an Embossing Pad, you’ll get this great little texture on your Moon.

I added the die cut start to this one too cut out of the same Sea Salt Cardstock. I love that the panels are Blue Corn and foil-able! πŸ™‚

I die cut out the Sea Salt panel with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets. Added some stitching and this one is ready to go–Over the Moon!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Our Over the Moon Kit retails for $68, comes in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker, and includes:

  • Clearly Crafty Over the Moon stamp set
  • Over the Moon die collection
  • Shooting Stars Background
  • Moon & Stars die collection
  • Mini Pot of Rose Gold Stars
  • A2 Envelope Pack (6 envelopes, 2 each of: Blue Corn, Rose Gold Sparkle, and Metallic Silver)
  • Envelope Seal Pack (6 seals)
Limited quantity available
Most items are not available to purchase individually.Β You will be able to purchase additional envelope seals (pack of 10), Foil It – Over the Moon panels (pack of 12), and Rose Gold foil cardstock separately from the kit.

PLEASE NOTE:

Grad/Congrats Release from TE!

Hello all! It’s been a minute, hasn’t it? Phew!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today that includes products for celebrating GRADUATES and includes many things to celebrate accomplishments, birthdays, “way to go” etc etc. One of the most exciting things is there is a new Create-In-Quads stencil set! Score! πŸ™‚

Let’s get this party started with the Create-In-Quads: Hooray set, shall we?

You can use the Create in Quads Cardstock to create (4) A2 size card creations. It works swimmingly–I prefer it to a full sheet just for ease. πŸ˜‰

For my cards, I leaned in on the celebrate side of things vs. several graduation cards. I like the idea of having happy Congrats cards ready to go and Celebrate!

I stenciled all the card panels first, and then die cut the You Did It from the first one. I added some fun foam underneath to give it a little oomph and then pieced the letters back on top. I love when there are bold word diesΒ  to use for this technique! πŸ™‚

It’s a party, for sure!! You Did It!! πŸ™‚

Next here is a grad one for sure! πŸ™‚ These products are great because you can customize them to the graduates school colors, but I thought it would be fun to just do bright colors as well. Sometimes you don’t know the colors you need or you have several grads to celebrate, all graduating from different institutions. The 2022 is a pre cut Die Cut and those come in Silver and Oreo. So snag a pack of those and be ready to go!

I love this banner one too! You’re a Star is from the High Five sentiment set. I heat embossed that on Blueberry and added a Simple Strip from the original Simple Strips Background.

I super enjoy how these banners turned out and truth be told, I was trying for this effect, but somehow, it came out that way and now I will!Β  Ha! πŸ™‚

I finished it off with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets set and the Petite Scallop Rectangle Set, to cut the panels. Some stitching and some Clear Drip Drops and it’s a party for sure!

This last card includes the All You Need stamp and it’s a good one. While it is perfect for Grads, I think this can be used anytime as a card of encouragement too.

I love the star border and I just added a few splatters to “festive it up” even more!

Next up, I created an Infinite Shaker card with the Infinite Shaker panels and the You Did It layering stencil. I simply masked off the letters as I ink blended TE Inks on in different colors!

Of course, I had to add alllllllllllll the bits in. I had just a smattering of the Confetti Clay Dots left so I snuck those in too. πŸ™‚

This card is definitely a PARTY!! πŸ™‚

Last up, is the Bokeh Star Background and this is a fun one for sure… I did the lowest layer in Sugar Cube and Sea Salt Ink to create a bokeh look in the end. I love these stencil sets. You can create such subtle layers that are fun for effect. They might show up better in person vs. in the photos? πŸ™‚

I used the Sea Salt cardstock for this one and it turned out great! These are so fun to blend together.

I finished this one with the Frame in Frame 2 die and the One the Block-Happy with a Simple Strip from the Simple Strips-Birthday set. The die cut stars are from the Gathered Stars die–alllll the sizes. I need to get this Bokeh Stars stencil set out and just make backgrounds to have on the ready. πŸ™‚ So many uses!

Here’s the scoop from TE:
