Taylored Expressions-Bring on the FOIL!

It’s a shiny happy release over at Taylored Expressions today!! It’s all about FOIL! That means shiny, sparkly fun!! There are a boatload (no pun intended from my first card) of new  Foil It Panels and there is a plethora of new Fun Foils from Taylored Expressions too!  ALLLLLL the colors!

First up, this one uses the new Foil It – Catchin’ Waves and Foil It – Sentiment Strips with the new Cookie Monster Fun Foil! And of course, always some of my favorites (and yours?) Gus & Gertie Ride On with the Gus & Gertie Ride On Dies!

First you always want to foil your panel to be sure you get even coverage with no interruptions from ink, etc. Then you can blend inks over, no problem at all! The foil does not come off–just in case you’re new to foiling and didn’t know 😉. (Because my instinct is to not even touch the foil after, but believe you me, it doesn’t move!).

I love how this one turned out with the sweet dusk of a sky using the Set the Scene – Clouds Stencil Strips with Peaches n Cream, a few different yellows and dash of Bubblegum! They look so happy floating along! Oh and the sentiment is also new from the Foil It – Sentiment Strips foiled in the new Champagne Fun Foil.

Next up, I used the new Foil It – Inked Botanicals along with the Accented Artistic Branch and Artistic Branch Coordinating Die in Jalapeno.

This panel is foiled with the new Dragon Fruit Fun Foil which is bright and bold! I cut the  Accented Artistic Branch from Jalapeno cardstock and blended a little ink over top before spattering it too!

The sentiment is again from the new Foil It – Sentiment Strips foiled in the new Champagne Fun Foil. I tried to mix it up a bit, but turns out these work for everything! 🙂

This card is a little busier than what I’d typically create–maybe? But I think it’s growing on me 🙂

Before I forget, there is also a new gift with qualifying purchases over at Taylored Expressions! It’s called Simple Stems–I had to make three to show all the flowers in action!

Ok–Here’s the scoop from Taylored Expressions for today’s new release:

Taylored Expressions-Scattered Blooms!

I can’t even believe it, but it is the end of March and that means a new Cardmaking Kit over  at Taylored Expressions!! The ease of this Scattered Blooms Kit and the lovely flowers one can create so easily is going to make you go all 😍😍! It did me! 🙂

First up –I just love how these colors came together on the Scattered Blooms stencil layers and how it turned out! 🙂 When you have a new set, you’re never quite sure what you’re creating til it all comes together. And I never chuck anything (I don’t have time for that silliness 😂), so I’m always hopeful. This is was a delightful result!

First I foiled the Scattered Blooms Foil it with Dark Blue Foil and then I blended all the colorful layers on.

And the Big Hugs die is awesome–don’t forget to snag the Big Hugs Backer, if you’re interested. I can all but guarantee you’re going to want that. But I do love it is not included in the kit, because things like that surely keep the price down for us–and then you personally have the choice to order or not. 🙂

The Simple Strip is from the Simple Strip-Friendship set. I wish I had blended a few more of these when I made this one! Always the way. 🙂

Next up, I went with the pinks and purple-ish colorway and I must say, I was not disappointed! For this, I used a Pink Foil and then blended and die cut the flowers. I absolutely love how the Scattered Blooms Die not only is easy to align and cut these out, but how it makes this letter press like impression etch on the flowers! The details!! 😍

I thought this would make a pretty Mother’s Day Card, so I used the Get the Word Out-Mother’s Day stamp and die.

The background was created with the Masking Stencil-Square and Sour Gummy ink with a VERY light hand!

I love how this one turned out too! I’m hoping to make a few more cards with this kit this week! 🙂

Here’s the scoop from Taylored Expressions:

The Scattered Blooms kit is $67 packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker. The kit includes:

  • Scattered Blooms Layering Stencil
  • Scattered Blooms Cutting Plate
  • Big Hugs Die

Additional products available to purchase outside of the kit: Scattered Blooms Envelope SealsBig Hugs BackerFoil It – Scattered Blooms, and The Insiders – Scattered Blooms.

Taylored Expressions-February Card Kit!

Happy Tuesday! Its the end of February already, believe it or not! That means today is a new kit release at Taylored Expressions! This is a fun one full of natural goodness–It’s the Whimsical Wings Cardmaking Kit!

My first card includes the moths you create with the kit (Stamps, stencils and dies) and the background you can purchase separately called Lush Greenery Background. Oh goodness, this background is dynamite and a great accent to this fun kit!

I stamped the Lush Greenery Background in Avocado, Dijon and Pineapple to create the different colors. I just sort of wing it (not pun intended), but I do recommend being mindful of your ink pads just so you don’t get the darker ink on the lighter one. I find getting the lighter on the darker yellow isn’t a big deal, at least in my experience. 😉

For the sentiment, I used the Simple Strips-Thanks sentiments. Seemed perfect for this card! 🙂 The moths are Dragon Fruit, Jalapeño, Dijon. I also think these would be fun sprayed with the Unicorn Sparkle spray, but I thought of that after I adhered them with foam tape. Gah! 🙂

Next up, we have the Whimsical Wings foiled! I used the TE Silver Shimmer Fun Foil on the Foil It – Whimsical Wings.

The Signature Hello die is in the kit, however if you’re interested, the Signature Hello Backer die is sold separately.

I used the Pierced Circles cutting plate and the Rounded Rectangle Stacklets. I added some of the original Drip Drops, but the ones you can now purchase outside the kit, would be lovely! They are called: Bits & Pieces – Glossy White Rhinestones.

I love how whimsy and simple this looks. Again, not that it was easy to get to this design 😂, but it is for sure, always fun to have that journey!! 💛

Have fun creating with these flyers! And fun fact: A group of moths is sometimes referred to as an eclipse! 🙂

Here’s the scoop from TE:

The Whimsical Wings Kit is $69, is packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker, and incudes:

  • Whimsical Wings Stamp & Stencil Combo
  • Whimsical Wings Coordinating Die
  • Signature Hello die
  • The Insiders – Whimsical Wings
  • True Colors Inspiration Cards (set of 4)
Most kit items are not available to purchase individually.
Limited quantity available.

Taylored Expressions: Snow Crystals Kit!

Today there is a new release over at Taylored Expressions and it’s the TE October Card Kit! Snow Crystals! Oddly this is fitting because while today is Halloween (Happy Halloween!), it is supposed to snow here in Chicagoland! 🎃 Burrrrrrr!

Let’s get this snowy party started! First up, I foiled a couple cards–always so fun to see the results!

This first one I foiled with Rainbow foil, but this piece only included the blues/purples/pinks. It turned out snowytastic, if I do say. The foil is always hard to capture in photos, but in person it is oooo la la, I promise 😊

I also used the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle Stacklets to jazz this one up a smidge more. I die cut the big snowflake from Dragonfruit to tuck behind my sentiment that is heat embossed in Rose Gold–on Sour Gummy (of course) and backed with the TE Silver Glitter Cardstock. I love Happy New Year cards–it also buys you a few more days to get them out! 😂

This next one, I kept really simple, but I wanted to foil this Swirling Snow Foil It with Summer Rainbow (ironic, I know). And the insider sentiment fit perfectly so I had to use that because Hibernating is REAL!

I feel these cards to much today as I bundle up to go outside!

For both of these, I added gold splatters from the Gansai Tambi – Starry Colors Set to give them both that extra sparkle of interest– perfect for cool cards! 🙂

I’ll see you when I’m done hibernating–and yes, I’m starting on Halloween apparently this year! Ha!

Next up, I wanted to stamp all the snowflakes and of course, had to rainbow it up!

I used all the colors of the rainbow (yes, even the violets!) and then finished it off the with the chunky sparkle of Fluffy Snow! Again, in person, this is delightful, but you basically cannot see it in the photos 😋.

This kit makes snow cards fun, quick and EASY! I’m always a fan of that, especially when I need a quick card ready yesterday! 🙂

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions. See my links below  🙂

It’s Christmas at Taylored Expressions!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… at Taylored Expressions! Today is the day for the Christmas release! Get out your jingle bells and let’s deck the halls!

First up, the big kahuna that has a bundle made for it! This is called the Deck the Halls Quad and boy does it ever deck the halls! For this I went a bit retro vintage (pretty sure I’m making up that category 😂)  Pink Champagne, Dijon, Mint Julep, Spearmint and Jalapeño.

Using the Foil It – Deck The Halls panels, that really upped the vibe of vintageness.

For the sentiments, I used the new Season’s Sweetings and the Season’s Sweetings Coordinating Dies on Jalapeño cardstock, with white heat embossing.

The backgrounds I splattered in both black and I used the Gansai Tambi – Starry Colors splatters. Which of course, don’t photograph, but they are pretty in person!

To finish them off, I used different colors of frames with the A2 Thin Frame Cutting Plate.

I love these sweet designs–and boom, four Christmas cards ready to go! It would be easy to simplify these a bit and create them in groups even swiftier! 🙂

Next up, let’s Sneak a Peek! This card uses the new Sneak A Peek sets.

This is created with the new Sneak-A-Peek Cutting Plate Stencil Combo and the Sneak-A-Peek Layering Stencil. All these little doors are fun!! They remind me of the advent calendar where you find the chocolate behind them. 🙂 I considered tucking money in mine–A quarter on down will definitely fit!

On the inside of the doors, I used the All Together Holiday, along with the All Together Holiday Coordinating Die that die cuts all the images in one swoop–which I am a SUPER FAN of! Not that it is a big deal to line up dies, but it does take time to stamp, color and tape everything down. This– 1-2-3 all cut! Big time saver to keep doing all the cards!

Eeep–I love that little Santa!

You can either use the stencil that comes with die as a guide, or lean in and blend on some inks like I did for background–extra festive surprises tucked back in there! 🙂

I also used the Sneak-A-Peek Sentiments to add some fun. I like the Sneak-A-Peek Sentiments and I think these are great for so many projects ahead–I love the font and the size–perfect for tags!

Last, but never least is the Peaceful Dove Stamp & Stencil Combo.

I also used the Peaceful Dove Coordinating Die which cuts out the dove perfectly, of course, but also adds lots of little etchings that make this dove that much more beautiful. I think I will be using this for sympathy cards for sure. It’s so peaceful.

I love the warmth of the Mushroom ink with the greens and pops of reds–it’s more gray than Toffee, and generally my go-to color for this type of coloring.

The sentiment I used is from the Jingle All The Way set and I also used the Jingle All The Way Coordinating Dies. I die cut the sentiment again with Black Licorice and off set it slightly to give it a shadow and make it stand out a bit more on the white dove. Just a little trick to make it pop slightly. 🙂

Heather Nichols created this wonderful set–and always, she creates amazing things!

The new Jalapeño ink has been used a lot around here–it goes coincide wonderfully with Christmas!

Here’s the scoop from Taylored Expressions:

While supplies last, when you place and order of $200+ you will receive the All Together – Occasions 3 Stamp & Die Combo set FREE. It’s the perfect collection of holiday sentiments that you can stamp in one impression and die cut with one pass through your die cut machine – perfect for holiday card making mass production! Offer valid while supplies last.

Taylored Expressions… NEW COLORS!

Today at Taylored Expressions there are NEW COLORS! And I don’t know about you, but I am always excited for NEW COLORS! It’s always so fun to combine with the old colors and get to know them more and more each project!

The new colors are:

  • Cinnamon
  • Huckleberry
  • Jalapeño
  • Sour Gummy

These come in all the things! Ink, cardstock, refills and envelopes and they are oh so good! Now, combining them with the existing colors puts everything into a new colorful stratosphere. SO FUN!

For this card, I used all the new colors: Cinnamon, Huckleberry, Jalapeño and Sour Gummy. I also used Rose Water and Dijon. I have to admit, I can’t say I’ve ever reached for a combo like this before, but I love the combo and the feel for fall!

Sour Gummy might be my new favorite color! It transcends both the blue and green categories into its own! 🙂 (My Jalapeño here photographed a bit lighter than I think it looks in person, but it was a rainy day if I recall–which makes all the photos a challenge!)

For the background here, I foiled the Foil It – Fineline Leaves with Champagne foil, which was the perfect compliment to this combo. The sentiment is from Foil It – All Together Occasions and of course, I used the All Together Occasions Coordinating Die to die cut that out.

I haven’t gotten to use the Snow Globe Builder Dies yet, so I did that with the Arched Stacklets to create a shaker card. Inside are all the fall leaves cut with the Garden Variety-Fall. This turned out delightful to me! (The shaker bits are Snow Flurries and the Bits & Pieces Rose Gold Stars (not in my supply list, but still available as of this morning 😉). I may have been overzealous and put too many leaves in because they don’t shake about too much, but they sure are pretty!

Next up, I focused on inks using masks of the Garden Variety-Fall leaves I cut from Post-It tape.

I used the Masking Stencils – Squares along with the masks I created and just masked the leaves off before blending inks all around them. I had this in my head after blending ink on the leaves for my snow globe and seeing the mat underneath with all the leaves “imprinted”. Reminded me of how you put the leaves in the sun on that special paper to leave in imprint. So hence, this card. 🙂

I came back with some score lines to create the frame and added a bunch of splatters and some stitching. The sentiment is from the Mini Strips – Floral stamp and voila, done! 😊😊

And last, but not least, I have been wanting to use the Buds & Blossoms Stamp and Stencil Combo for a long while, so I busted that out here:

The background is stamped in Cinnamon and the buds are blended in Huckleberry. The colors are pretty stuttle looking in this photo, but in person, I think they popped a bit more. The leaves are Mint Julep and Jalapeno, while the buds are Raspberry Sorbet/Pink Champagne and Sweet Potato Pie/Peaches ‘n’ Cream

The Thanks and sentiment is from the Big Thanks set (and Coordinating die). Of course, I used the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate to frame it all out with the Diagonal Stitch Rectangle Stacklets for a subtle little framing detail too.

Oh and don’t forget to fill up on the Inkspiration cards again! Those are so fun and I love to cut the cardstock swatches to put on those. So tidy!

I can’t wait to keep working these new colors into things with all the existing colors–truly some great compliments to the  TE collection!

Here’s the scoop from Taylored Expressions:

While supplies last, we’ve got a Full Set Syndrome I Want it All – Part 2 Bundle for $87 that includes all four new colors (Jalapeño, Sour Gummy, Huckleberry, and Cinnamon) of full sized ink pads, mini ink cubes, ink refills, and full cardstock packs. It’s a great way to add all 4 of the colors to your own collection! Offer valid while supplies last.

Today, there is a new kit in town and it’s called: In the Abstract Kit 2!  Taylored Expressions has this  new release today and there are a few extras not to miss, in addition to the kit. Be sure to read all the way to the bottom for all the details.

Let’s get to it, shall we? It’s a fun one, with a boatload of possibilities.

I thought I’d mix it up and also revisit a previous color combo–pretty sure I used this one before, but it seemed fitting for this kit. Rose Water, Sweet Potato, Dijon and Poblano Pepper. For the accent greens, I used…. wait for it… OLIVE! Rare. But delightful!

First, I foiled the Foil It – Abstract panels (that are sold separately from the kit). I used Plum Foil on the one above and Champagne Foil on the one below.

I stamped the Simple Silhouettes stamp set in Olive on each of the panels.

I cut all the panels out with the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets before adding some stitching. I used Dijon & Poblano Pepper card bases for these.

This is one of those kits that you could easily spend a day creating with. There are so many possibilities. I look forward to having some more time ahead to create more cards. 🙂

Here’s the scoop from Taylored Expressions:

The In the Abstract 2 Cardmaking Kit retails for $65, is packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker, and includes:

Feeling Lucky with Taylored Expressions

Today we are celebrating all things green and rainbowtastic with the St. Patrick’s Day Release at Taylored Expressions!

Eeeeeep, where do I start? How about with these cuties called Lucky Leprechauns Dress Up Dies! This uses the previously released Gnome Sweet Gnome Die Set and adds on some St. Pat’s Day fun! These are so fun to put together. I recommend just cutting all the pieces from all the colors (well, most all from all 😉) and then just sitting and assembling while watching a good movie.

I kept mine very simple because that’s how I roll and I just love how these cuties turned out!! I can’t wait to have them up for St. Pat’s Day. I really need a whole line of them, truthfully and I have enough pieces to make that happen. I might just have to do that. 🙂

I love all the little bits you can add on from the die set, or not. I think I used them all? I also added on a few shamrocks from the Little Bits-Shamrocks. I die cut a bunch of those and had them laying around, so boom there they are! Have fun mixing and matching and making these Gnomie leprechauns your own. 🍀🍀

Next up, we have this fun little Argyle number that is made with the new Foil It-Argyle pattern and the previously released Argyle Stamp & Stencil Combo. The background is created with my well loved Frame in Frame 2. I added some stitching and I and allllll the shamrocks from Little Bits-Shamrocks.

I used Jade foil for the Foil It-Argyle pattern and I used the Champagne foil on the sentiment from Foil It – Shake Your Shamrock panels. I used the Shake Your Shamrock Die Set to cut them out after.

You can see all the shimmer shine better in this photo–it’s hard to capture in still photos, isn’t it?

I absolutely had to add in the rainbow from the new Rainbow’s End die set and then again all the Little Bits-Shamrocks. I thought this turned out fun and would be cute to send out next month. 🌈🍀

Oh and newsflash: I used Lime Zest ink!! I never use Lime Zest ink, so I was very proud!

Here’s the scoop from Taylored Expressions:

For a limited time, you can get the Luck of the Irish Bundle (Luck of the Irish Background stamp, Foil It – Luck of the Irish panels, Shake Your Shamrock stamp set, Shake Your Shamrock die collection, and Rainbow’s End die collection) for the discounted price of $65 – regularly retails for $73! This bundle price is only available through Thursday, February 9th, or while supplies last!

Also, when you place an order of $50 or more now through Sunday, February 12th, you’ll receive our new Cilantro Sparkle embossing powder FREE! We are so excited about this sparkly green embossing powder that adds the perfect magical touch to your St. Patrick’s Day projects and more! Offer valid while supplies last.

This first card made with the Winterberry stamp is stamped with Blueberry and Gumball and cut out the panel with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets. I also used the Oh My Word-Thank You and the  Simple Strips in Reverse-Love.

This background is a versatile one for sure!! It can be used for all the things–so easily. Simply or you can really step it up with some colors, watercolor, embossing, etc. etc.

I wanted to use it again, adding a little coloring with Copic Markers. This is stamped on Spearmint with Poblano Pepper. The Branch Out dies are cut out of Fruit Punch cardstock. Again I used the Simple Strips in Reverse-Love for the sentiment.

I used the Frame in Frame 2 die to die cut the center, added some stitching and popped up the middle panel for a little oomph! 🙂 Lastly, I added a few TE Drip Drops.

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Season of Crafting Sales at TE- Foil It Panels!

Taylored Expressions has the Season of Crafting Sales going on this week and today is 30% off Foil It Panel Packs!

seasonofcrafting1.jpg

Pretty sure every time there is a new Foil It Panel Pack released, I have to get an extra pack just to have on hand. When I make a set of cards for giving, I often using Foil It Panels now. It adds such a little punch so easily and the gift recipient enjoys them so–in my experience. 🙂

First up, we have these Best Bud panels I foiled with Pink Quartz Foil. This is definitely a favorite of the Foil It Panels for me. After you foil the panels, you used the Best Bud Layering Stencils to create the magic! Sooooo easy!

If you look closely, you can see a couple of my colors overlapped. I did not do any masking, so this happens. 🙂 It doesn’t bother me at all, I actually like it, but you could easily avoid that with a traveling piece of Post-It Tape you move all around or a Post-It etc.

I used one panel to make two cards—YAY! I also really enjoy doing that. The Hello is the Oh My Word- Hello Die that I cut twice and used half of another color cardstock to give it that dipped look. Thought that turned out kinda fun right?

The bottom is the Grid Background embossed with the TE Puffy White Embossing Powder for extra POOF! 🙂

A bit of a different feel and I love it these turned out!

Next up, I used the Foil It – Paradise to create these two cards. I kept these very simple, just coloring them with Copic Markers very simply.

I used Champagne Foil and again the PInk Quartz. I like both of these colors a lot and you’ll probably notice that because I do use them often. 😉

I used the Frame in Frame 2 to cut these out and frame them with both Passion Fruit and with Dijon.

The sentiments are from the Handlettered Sympathy set. I’ll need to make more of these too! 🙂

Here’s the scoop from TE:

Each day the new daily deal starts at 9AM Central Time and goes until 8:59AM Central Time the next day. Offers are valid while supplies last and there are no rainchecks. CLICK HERE for a peek at the daily deals.
