Taylored Expressions-Bring on the FOIL!

It’s a shiny happy release over at Taylored Expressions today!! It’s all about FOIL! That means shiny, sparkly fun!! There are a boatload (no pun intended from my first card) of new Foil It Panels and there is a plethora of new Fun Foils from Taylored Expressions too! ALLLLLL the colors!

First up, this one uses the new Foil It – Catchin’ Waves and Foil It – Sentiment Strips with the new Cookie Monster Fun Foil! And of course, always some of my favorites (and yours?) Gus & Gertie Ride On with the Gus & Gertie Ride On Dies!

First you always want to foil your panel to be sure you get even coverage with no interruptions from ink, etc. Then you can blend inks over, no problem at all! The foil does not come off–just in case you’re new to foiling and didn’t know 😉. (Because my instinct is to not even touch the foil after, but believe you me, it doesn’t move!).

I love how this one turned out with the sweet dusk of a sky using the Set the Scene – Clouds Stencil Strips with Peaches n Cream, a few different yellows and dash of Bubblegum! They look so happy floating along! Oh and the sentiment is also new from the Foil It – Sentiment Strips foiled in the new Champagne Fun Foil.

Next up, I used the new Foil It – Inked Botanicals along with the Accented Artistic Branch and Artistic Branch Coordinating Die in Jalapeno.

This panel is foiled with the new Dragon Fruit Fun Foil which is bright and bold! I cut the Accented Artistic Branch from Jalapeno cardstock and blended a little ink over top before spattering it too!

The sentiment is again from the new Foil It – Sentiment Strips foiled in the new Champagne Fun Foil. I tried to mix it up a bit, but turns out these work for everything! 🙂

This card is a little busier than what I’d typically create–maybe? But I think it’s growing on me 🙂

Taylored Expressions-Scattered Blooms!

I can’t even believe it, but it is the end of March and that means a new Cardmaking Kit over at Taylored Expressions!! The ease of this Scattered Blooms Kit and the lovely flowers one can create so easily is going to make you go all 😍😍! It did me! 🙂

First up –I just love how these colors came together on the Scattered Blooms stencil layers and how it turned out! 🙂 When you have a new set, you’re never quite sure what you’re creating til it all comes together. And I never chuck anything (I don’t have time for that silliness 😂), so I’m always hopeful. This is was a delightful result!

First I foiled the Scattered Blooms Foil it with Dark Blue Foil and then I blended all the colorful layers on.

And the Big Hugs die is awesome–don’t forget to snag the Big Hugs Backer, if you’re interested. I can all but guarantee you’re going to want that. But I do love it is not included in the kit, because things like that surely keep the price down for us–and then you personally have the choice to order or not. 🙂

The Simple Strip is from the Simple Strip-Friendship set. I wish I had blended a few more of these when I made this one! Always the way. 🙂

Next up, I went with the pinks and purple-ish colorway and I must say, I was not disappointed! For this, I used a Pink Foil and then blended and die cut the flowers. I absolutely love how the Scattered Blooms Die not only is easy to align and cut these out, but how it makes this letter press like impression etch on the flowers! The details!! 😍

I thought this would make a pretty Mother’s Day Card, so I used the Get the Word Out-Mother’s Day stamp and die.

The background was created with the Masking Stencil-Square and Sour Gummy ink with a VERY light hand!

I love how this one turned out too! I’m hoping to make a few more cards with this kit this week! 🙂

Taylored Expressions-Let’s Rainbow!

Hooray for a New Release over at Taylored Expressions… it’s all Sunshine and Rainbows!! I am very excited about this release–I love the Sunshine Kit and now you can get some of those items a la carte! Big fan!

These are the Foil It – ROYGBIV with the Create-in-Quads – ROYGBIV! Soooooo fun! I could make these all day! 🙂

Oh soooo cute! I did have to still add googley eyes–looks like my sunshine got sunburned tho? ha!

Taylored Expressions: Foil It Release!

This one is always a fun BIG release at Taylored Expressions : Foil It release. Get out ALL the foils!

And just a note, before I forget, if you’re looking to organize your foils, don’t forget to check out the Foil Organization over at TE– you can find all that HERE.

First up, I used the Daisy Dreams Foil Its! I was pretty excited because I didn’t get to use this set the when the stamp/stencil/die came out originally.

I foiled this with the Lily Pad foil–I just wish the photos could show that a bit better! It’s fun and has an iridescentness to it! (Yup, that’s a word! #notreally)

I debated for way too long on die cutting this out 😂. I decided in the end not too, but I think my next go, I will! Instead, I used the Diagonal Stitched Mini Slim stacklets.

I stenciled my TE inks on, using a few for each layer! 🙂 I opted for yellows and greens, but I think I’d love this in pinks too!

To finish it off, I used the Get the Word Out-Hello and a Building Block from the Cool Additions. I felt very Brit like with the Hello Love! 🙂

Next up, I used the new Make a Rainbow Foil Its! Hooray for rainbows allllll the days!

In highsight, I honestly should have foiled my whole pack of rainbows because I could mail these everyday!

I kept one very simple and the other I used the Set the Scene Cloud Stencil Strips.

I added the clouds to. I like both, but in the end, I just love the white simple cards! 😊

One of these cards I used the Silver Stars Foil and the other I used the Silver Shattered Foil. Both work fun and add a little extra!

Those cute little clouds are the Rainbow Cloud Duo. I tend to always use the stitched cloud because I love that detail!

Here’s a photo I took before adding the clouds–because I forgot, initially. shhhhhh! 🤣 But something was missing and I figured it out!

The rainbow arches are added on using the Masking Stencils-Make a Rainbow. My new go-to pink is Dragon Fruit!

These were fun to make and I am looking forward to using so many more of the newly released foil panels!!

Second Chance release from Taylored Expressions!

Oh I do love these releases from Taylored Expressions! Lots of goodies that were once only available as exclusive gifts and Stamp Joy goodies–now anyone who missed out, can purchase them too. Plus, the icing on the cake is always the extra bonus goodies that come out alongside these.

First up, one of my faves from 2022: Dutch Garden! And now, there are Dutch Garden- Foil Its! Big fan and I was able to use them to make this card.

I foiled two different panels with two different foils before using the layering stencils to create these tulips.

You can see the foil a smidge better in this photo. 🙂 I cut the panels into strips and pieced them together to create this card. I also added some stitching and I added some Drip Drops too.

This sweet sentiment is from Hello Sunshine. The Simple Strip is from the Original Simple Strips. I love how this turned out with the addition of Petite Scallop Pea Pod layer to make it all pop.

Next up is an exclusive from Stamp Joy in October. This one is called Garden Variety.

I used the Garden Variety Bouquet Builder along with these sweet flowers. I now have a very large pile of flowers ready to create things!

I put these on a layer of Salt Water Taffy cut out of the Arched Stacklets. There are many new things in this release that will accompany these dies. And be sure to see the promo below! 🙂

Season of Crafting Sales at TE- Foil It Panels!

Taylored Expressions has the Season of Crafting Sales going on this week and today is 30% off Foil It Panel Packs!

Pretty sure every time there is a new Foil It Panel Pack released, I have to get an extra pack just to have on hand. When I make a set of cards for giving, I often using Foil It Panels now. It adds such a little punch so easily and the gift recipient enjoys them so–in my experience. 🙂

First up, we have these Best Bud panels I foiled with Pink Quartz Foil. This is definitely a favorite of the Foil It Panels for me. After you foil the panels, you used the Best Bud Layering Stencils to create the magic! Sooooo easy!

If you look closely, you can see a couple of my colors overlapped. I did not do any masking, so this happens. 🙂 It doesn’t bother me at all, I actually like it, but you could easily avoid that with a traveling piece of Post-It Tape you move all around or a Post-It etc.

I used one panel to make two cards—YAY! I also really enjoy doing that. The Hello is the Oh My Word- Hello Die that I cut twice and used half of another color cardstock to give it that dipped look. Thought that turned out kinda fun right?

The bottom is the Grid Background embossed with the TE Puffy White Embossing Powder for extra POOF! 🙂

A bit of a different feel and I love it these turned out!

Next up, I used the Foil It – Paradise to create these two cards. I kept these very simple, just coloring them with Copic Markers very simply.

I used Champagne Foil and again the PInk Quartz. I like both of these colors a lot and you’ll probably notice that because I do use them often. 😉

I used the Frame in Frame 2 to cut these out and frame them with both Passion Fruit and with Dijon.

The sentiments are from the Handlettered Sympathy set. I’ll need to make more of these too! 🙂

Happy 14th Birthday, Taylored Expressions! New Release today!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today to celebrate birthdays–including Taylored Expressions 14th Anniversary-Birthday!! Happy 14th TE!!

First up, let’s check out the new Triple Slim Layering Stencil – Celebrate AND the accompanying Foil It – Triple Slim – Celebrate. I will be ordering a couple more of these because let’s face it, I am not a good birthday card maker, and these make rockin’ cards, in bulk, in a jiffy snap! 🙂

I used the Silver Star Foil on these and I don’t know if I have ever had a better application for that particular foil than these! Soooooo fun!

There is a die to cut out the candles too–which is awesome because you can personalize the amount of candles on your recipients card.

I feel like this one doesn’t even have to be a birthday card!

These cards were all tied up using the Mini Slim Stitched Stacklets and the Mini Slim Petite Scallop Stacklets. A birthday Tri-fecta! 🙂

Gah–love these!

Ok next up, we have one of my favorites from this release: Bun-derful Birthday Stamp (& Dies). This set is a trip–for many reasons. It starts with Taco and ends with puns. 😂

These fries are the CUTEST!! And wait til you see the others in the set.

Excercise, Nah Extra Fries! 🙂

I made a second one with this set at the last minute: Soda!

And everything is better with Googley Eyes! 🙂

I used the Rectangle Masking Stencil and blended on some inks.

Next up, the fun new Mix & Match Drip & Dots Cutting Plate along with the new Let Them Eat Cake Layering Stencil AND the Let Them Eat Cake Dies. This is a different color combo for me–lots of purples! Which is crazy… Poblano Pepper, Passion Fruit and Macaron.

I used the Easy Strips to create the background. The sentiment on this one is from the Happy Anni-Birth-Ary Stamp. I know many people can agree with this one! 🙂

Lastly, here’s a fun one and something a little different. This is the new Get Thready Sunburst Cutting Plate. This is the definition of simple stitching–yes please!

I thought it fun to create these flowers with the floss, but you can really mix it up with bursts or spirals, etc. etc. The die here is a very simple must have–it’s called: Bold Birthday Die along with the Bold Birthday Backer Die.

Fire up the Minc–New Foil Fun from TE!

Taylored Expressions has a New Release today with a boatload of new Foil It Panels! This has been my recent go-to for making card sets. It adds a lot of fun really simply and elegantly. Plus, let’s face it, I just love to run the panels through the machine with all the foils!

First up, I have a duo using the Gathered Greenery Foil-It panels and the Branches & Blooms Foil-It panels. Both of these are foiled in Silver foil to keep them easy to add color too. Though, I think any solid color foil works to add color too. I mean, why not, right? 🙂

The Gathered Greenery card I used the Rectangle Masking Stencil on. I blended on yellow and green inks–super easy. This is a great way to add some pop with no dimension.

It allowed me to then add the flower from the Planting Happiness set and the sentiment from Foil It – On Occasion, which is also new!

The Branches & Blooms card includes a sentiment from Simple Strips In Reverse – Everyday Occasions which I also foiled in Silver.

I colored this with Copic Markers and I love how soft it turned out!

I backed the sentiment with Easy Strips–all the sizes!

Next up, I have the Mini Slim Botanical–I decided to foil this one in Denim and add the rosey pinks of Guava and Cupcake to the background.

I silver heat embossed the Mini Slim Botantical Sentiment on Vellum and stitched that on the inside, adhering it all with foam tape for some oomph!

I thought this one turned out lovely and I had wished I made a few more at the time! ha! Always.

Lastly, I have the new Foil It-The Right Angle with an edgy card. Ok, it’s not edgy but it is on the right angle. Bwaaahahahhaa! Ok moving on… 🙂

I thought I’d try out a new color way for this one: Dijon, Poblano and Mint Julep. I like it–it can be used for men and women… score!

Once again, I used the Simple Strips In Reverse – Everyday Occasions for the sentiment. I wanted some stars, so I cut all the Little Bits-Stars out of the remnants of the above Simple Strips. It just takes a little patience and determination and you can get well over a dozen stars out of the scraps. So I stashed those away for the future. 😉

It reminds me of stained glass for sure!

Lastly, I thought I would share the card set I made to gift to a friend. These panels, Foil It-Full of Flowers, were previously released, but they are still available and the foiled sentiments are the new ones called Foil It – On Occasion (The On Occasion die was previously released and works for these too!)

I just gave these to her and I do believe she loved them as she said she was going to stash them. 😂

That little added touch of foil is fun fun! And with the stencil to coordinate–color, color done! 🙂

I kept them simple with just a touch of added stitching to round them out. This will make them easy to mail. Don’t forget the TE Envelope Seals!

Such a great little gift to give! 🙂
