Black Friday–Wake UP-time to shop at Taylored Expressions!

Today, Taylored Expressions is celebrating Black Friday and the Crafting Season! If you are gifting a crafter this season, this time is for you. If you ARE THE CRAFTER, this time is also for you! It’s for me too–I can’t wait to snag a bundle from Taylored Expressions myself!  Be sure to check them all out on the Taylored Expressions website–through Saturday! And I must say, ACT FAST. These do sell out in record times, so don’t delay if you are 100% in!

Today, I’m sharing a set of cards I made with the Happy Half Sheet design I whipped up! It’s fun to see it come together by making a card–and I can’t wait to see what everyone else makes with them too.

For today, I created this fun set using the Birthday Bash stamp set that is also in the bundle. Note, there are coordinating dies too, which will come in VERY handy, but for this, I went old school and just stamped! 🙂

These were such fun to make and super easy to boot–my fave! I just stamped up the Half Sheet of Sugar Cube card stock in the various colors with a stamping block. I highly recommend just using a stamping block vs. your MISTI to make this one-two-three and enjoyable.  You can also use your MISTI, but I find that time consuming and not quite as much fun. I live on the edge sometimes–well, often when crafting. 😂

If you make an error in stamping, I wouldn’t fret too much and just keep going. You’d be amazed and what you don’t see once the sheet is cut up and or you can creatively put your sentiment right over that flub. shhhhh no one will know! 😉

I went all crisp Sugar Cube, of course, and mixed in some textures with Cutting Plates and Embossing Folders. It’s my favorite thing to do to create subtle texture, but not to distract from the main stay. It also keeps them from getting too busy, in my opinion.

And remember, white space doesn’t have to be WHITE per say, it’s just about creating some breathing room, no matter what your palette of colors is. 🙂

These would be great to make ahead and have ready for a New Year, right? The Simple Strips are the Simple Strips-Birthday. Always a mainstay!

So festive!

Be sure to check out my supply list for all the extras I used–embossing folders, stacklets and cutting plates. So fun!

New Colors from Taylored Expressions!

Today Taylored Expressions is celebrating NEW COLORS! Be sure to hop over to  Taylored Expressions  and check out the new colors! The three new colors are Hot Fudge, Latte, and Sweet Corn! Love these new additions!

First up, I used all the the new inks with several already in the TE Collection:

The Plum Punch panel is embossed with the recently released Embossing Folder – Sketched Plaid. You cannot really tell in the photo, but it adds that little extra something in person. 🙂

I couldn’t decide which sentiment I should go with from the Mini Strips-Harvest set, so I took photos with both. I thought the Stretchy Pants was funny for Thanksgiving, but thought that Happy Thanksgiving is always a classic winner as well. I heat embossed those on the new Hot Fudge.

I Yam What I Yam is a cheeky, fun sentiment for Thanksgiving and I used the Stitched Alpha dies to customize for this giggle!

Putting the little strips of Sweet Corn on made it easier to align my sentiment. I love how this turned out with the Four Seasons Background Stamp & Stencil Combo background. That background is a DELIGHT for ANY season! Big fan! I made another panel using Latte as the Background stamp main color vs. Hot Fudge. It creates a lovely, softer feel. I hope I get it turned into another Thanksgiving card!

Next up, I really leaned into the Sweet Corn color–so that is the main color here with the others (Hot Fudge, Latte and Dragon Fruit) splashed in. I used the Wavy Stitch Stacklets before again using the recently released Embossing Folder – Sketched Plaid for the background panel.

This card also features the Berry Branch, Pop Sentiments, Medium Envelope, and the Love Letters Stamp & Die Combo. The monotone card is something you either like or don’t. I seem to be in a phase of loving it… nothing is too jarring and it all comes together. 🙂

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to add some splatters to the background, but I think in the end, it’s all good without them. Had I added them, I would have liked to do before adhering and stitching all the Berry Branches on for sure!

Be sure to check out the Holiday fun over at Taylored Expressions!
