Taylored Expressions-New Release!

Today there is a new release over at Taylored Expressions and it is a fun one for sure! This release is called Perfect Pairings and it is a sweet release of these fun little sets with stamps and dies!

Let’s get started with one of my faves–a new Gus & Gertie!! Gus and Gertie Get Crafty and boy do they ever! I love this image!

I colored this in with OLO Markers and kept things very simple so Gus & Gertie could shine!

This used the Petite Scallop Circle Stacklets and the Ridged Circle Stacklets. So sweet–I want to send a bundle of these out to my crafty friends!

Next up, the other adorable pups in this release from Feeling Ruff?

OH my word–this cute pup with the cone? Too cute! 🙂

I kept this one ultra simple using the Cable Knit Embossing Folder in the background to create a bit of texture, but otherwise, the cute pups are doing they heaving lifting! It’s hard not to add all the things, but often times, I think the cute images are enough to carry the card. This sentiment is a stitch! 🙂

Lastly, there are these new cuties with their sweet smiles and oh so cute illustrating! These are both from the set Rise & Shine set.

I had to make two so I did a two-for-one with the Mini Slim Stacklets to create these cuties!

And I was disciplined and only did one googley eyed! I love them with and without, so it’s hard to decide what to do! 🙂

Taylored Expressions: Second Chance Release!

One of my favorite releases at Taylored Expressionsis always the Second Chance release. Not only because I always love the freebies (and who doesn’t like a gift?), but because there are always little additions added when they officially release into the TE Catalog of goodness.

So let’s give these a Second Chance–in case you missed them in round one!

First up, we have the Berry Sweet–I could not love this Berry Basket more! I am looking at everything now and wondering if I can put it in this Berry Basket? 🙂

Of course, these scream summer to me, and berries and gingham go hand in hand for summer, so naturally, I used the Gingham Checked Background, cut out with the Stitched Frame Stacklets 3. I created an ombre Gingham starting with Gumball at the top and Blueberry at the bottom.

I thought it would be fun to make the leaves in two different greens and stitch those up. I actually die cut a ridiculous amount of leaves and have those all ready to go for more cards (hopefully) soon! 🙂 The background is created with the Stitched with Love Cutting Plate and I added some Stickles to wrap this one up sweetly!

Next up, let’s checked out the Sketched Hearts! I think this one was from around the time of the Valentine’s release? Or was it in February? Hmmmmm either way, it’s a fun one! I thought I’d mix it up and use the hearts to create a flower–and goodness–I didn’t know it would work out so well. These are the perfect hearts for such! 🙂

I used Blue Raspberry to die cut the hearts, which I was happy about because apparently I don’t use too much Blue Raspberry. Who knew? I used an Easy Strip (1/8″) to create the stem out of Granny Smith.

I used the Rounded Rectangle Stacklets and the Ridged Rounded Rectangle Stacklets to create the border on Cupcake cardstock and the Cloudy Skies Piercing Plate for the background. The sentiment is from the Mini Strips – Floral stamp set. Such a sweet and simple card.

Lastly for today, I created this simple little Thank You using the Beautiful Butterflies Die and the Foil It – Beautiful Butterflies.

I didn’t add the Butterfly torso on here–instead it lays on my desk still 😂. But I recommend doing that. The sentiments are from the New Mini Strips – Fluttering By and of course the Mini Strips dies to cut those out of Dragon Fruit cardstock. (Have I mentioned how much I love Dragon Fruit?😍)

The circle placemat is create with the Petite Scallop Circle Stacklets and the Embossing Folder Dotted Diamonds. Simply delightful!

These could be created in batches for sure! 🙂

New Kit from TE–Candy Cane Lane!

Taylored Expressions has a new Cardmaking Kit today and it is SWEET! This kit is called Candy Cane Lane and it is delightful–I love candy canes! 🙂 So let’s crank up the Holiday music and stay in from the heat to craft our little hearts out.

Eeeeeeeep! I am STRIPES #1 fun and so now when you mix stripes with Candy…. forget about it! I’m alllll in! Heather designed another fun one here FOR SURE!

I thought it would be fun if a critter was riding on the Candy Cane, so I pulled out this little Penguin from the Fluffy Friends Holiday and colored her with Copic Markers. I used the Holly and the Berries on the Candy Cane Sleigh and then used the Berries again to create her little hair bow with a Peppermint touch.

I created this shaker card using the Sweet Stripes Cutting Plate die (which can be purchased separately) and the previously released Inside Bracket Stacklets. I inset the Sweet Stripes Cutting Plate die with Red Pepper cardstock. This is my FAVORITE TE Red Cardstock.

I stamped the background with the little candy canes and such from the Seasonal Sentiments set and filled the shaker with the Bits & Pieces – Peppermints. (I also added in the Bits & Pieces – Clay Stars and Bits & Pieces – Snowflakes.) The little greeting is also from that set and the coordinating dies are in the kit for the sentiments. Love this font!

Next up, I thought it would be fun to create some stripes using the Easy Stripes Dies. So I laid those up on the Mint Julep card stock and die cut out the Peppermint Kisses candy canes.

I stamped a quick background again using the small stamps from the Seasonal Sentiments set and cut that would with the Petite Scallop Circle Stacklets. I embossed the larger circle and the card base using my Scoreboard and added some stitching. Love the way this turned out too. Such fun!

Some Cupcake holly leaves, Sugar Cube Berries, a bit of twine and voila! 🙂 Using the coordinating stencil would make these come together in bulk much faster for sure. Mmmmmm peppermint!
