Taylored Expressions: Throwback Thursday 2025!

It’s Throwback Thursday! Today, Taylored Expressions has a fun release of some of the products from a previous kit last year at TE–I think it was January 2024, but don’t quote me. πŸ™‚ Be sure to check it all out at Taylored Expressions today!

I thought it would be fun to show you a couple new cards as well as my previous cards featuring the dies:

  • Pieced Patterns – Squares die
  • Pieced Patterns – Triangles die

I have a fun tutorial on the Taylored Expressions Blog today that you can read there. It features this fun card:

ahhh! The Fanfare Cutting Plate always makes me happy too! πŸ™‚

These cards are so fun to make because you just die cut a bunch of different colors and go for it! It’s cathartic to just tinker around with different patterns. If that’s not your thing, but sure to grab the TE Maps because those are great fun and remind me a bit of color by number. You just pick your pieces and follow the pattern–also fun and relaxing! πŸ™‚

I made this card with one of the new ones: TE Maps and the new Crossroads Cutting Plate Die–which I will likely be using quite often 😁 .

These colors are Dragon Fruit, Bubble Gum, Wintergreen and Pear with the Toffee TE Map.

Here are a few cards I made previously with the kit too. You can find my original post about those HERE.Β This first one is a fave for sure! Love all the fun colors! πŸ™‚

Oh and lastly, Pro Tip! I’d recommend getting a sorting box for all your pieces while you’re at it. Your future self will thank you. I originally just die cute everything and threw it together–which works too –wink wink. HOWEVER, once I got the TE Simple Storage for Tiny Things to sort and used the TE True Colors Labels to label everything–the sun appeared through the clouds. Highly recommend! πŸ™‚ It’ll make you so happy!

Be sure to check out all theΒ  fun over at Taylored Expressions today for the first Throwback Thursday of 2025! These are always fun to bring back products for those who may have missed them and then all the fun new additions! It’s like a wardrobe refresh, right? AKA switching of the seasons around here. πŸ™‚

Thanks so much for stopping by!Β  πŸ™‚Β

Taylored Expressions-First Card Kit of 2024!

Hello! I don’t know about you, but I am stunned it’s the end of January! HOW? Wow is all I can say! It’s been a busy month!

The first card kit for 2024 is releasing today atΒ Taylored Expressions! This Pattern Play Kit is one of those kits you could just have fun for all the weeks and months ahead! Love it!

My first card, I had to die cut allllll the colors. NO joke–You should see my pile–I die cut for over an hour πŸ˜„! I just wanted everything ready and available to tinker around with. So glad I did!

I decided to design my pattern in the same color order, but I went in columns and snaked it back up and down. So in the end, it looks random, but if you really stop and look, you’ll see I went in the same order. I have always loved those scrap quilts people make and this has a bit of that random feel to me–albeit all cut the same πŸ˜‰.

The sentiments are from Simple Strips-Crafty (so fitting, right?)and from Mini Strips- Hello Add Ons. OH and I used the Pierced Grid Cutting PlateΒ die (you can purchase separately) as my background–I will be using this one often! Love that subtle texture!

Next up, I used one of the Maps in the kit to create this card with Tropical Punch, Dijon and Raspberry Sorbet!

Different than I would normally whip up, but I thought it had that homey, cozy feel! The TE Maps – Pieced Patterns in the kit really make this QUICK to do and quite cathartic! The trick is to have all your pieces cut and just have fun putting the puzzle together! πŸ™‚

The Hello is from Big Hello and the Simple Strip is Simple Strips – Crafty again. I wish I was under this “quilt” right now! πŸ™‚

Lastly, just one more quick card I made.Β  This one is completely random and I had a quick window to make it, but I am looking forward to making more because I have sooooo many pieces! Hooray!

The sentiments on this one is the Bold Birthday Die and the Bold Birthday Backer. Hopefully my son’s friend liked it! πŸ™‚

These are so fun to make!! πŸ™‚ If you don’t have the TE Sticky Sheets, there are some in the kit. However, I definitely recommend grabbing an extra pack–I used them often! Oh and the TE Maps – Pieced Patterns also come in the kit, but know they are consumables so you may want more of those too!
