Easy Edgers

It’s time to celebrate NEW COLORS over at Taylored Expressions today!! EEEEEEEP! The wait is over! These are brilliant additions and have landed right snug into the fold!

The new colors are Papaya, Persimmon, Royal Icing and Tiki Mule! They are fantastic! I thought a great example to use this on would be the Fan Favorite Stencil and Embossing Folder Combo.

The colors really show their partnerships with the Royal Icing/Tiki Mule and Papaya/Persimmon fans here.

The sentiment is Gold Embossed from the Let’s Party set. So fun! The Dijon and Honey work swimmingly to round out this color combo. It’s a party–for SURE!

I made several panels to create with, but only finished two cards thus far. Story of our lives right? Ha! This one below really showcases the Papaya and Persimmon Combo. It’s a fade from Persimmon up to Papaya–though a big hard to decipher in this photo.

This layering stencil combo and embossing folder is called Floral Fields. The pops of Gumdrop and Plum Punch really punch it up–wink wink.

This sentiment is covered in TE Fun Foil and it is called Shiny Happy Sentiments. I used the Easy Edgers to create a spunky edge placed about the Pierced Diamonds panel.

The next card features just the new blues: Royal Icing and Tiki Mule. They go together awesomely with Blueberry, Red Pepper and Cupcake for this sweet card.

I love these dies in the No Place Like Home set–and that is overtop the Cloud Nine Embossing Folder. These houses: 😍😍!

The sentiment is from the House it Going set. Such fun sentiments in that set to pair with these. 🙂

Eeeep I am so excited to use the NEW COLORS on the reg now! 😊 I look forward to seeing what everyone creates with these. Have fun trying out new combos–you just never know what looks good until you try it. I can’t say that I’d pick up my color cards above and think–yup–this is perfect. But then, it works! 🙂 Have fun!

Hello! I don’t know about you, but I am stunned it’s the end of January! HOW? Wow is all I can say! It’s been a busy month!

The first card kit for 2024 is releasing today at Taylored Expressions! This Pattern Play Kit is one of those kits you could just have fun for all the weeks and months ahead! Love it!

My first card, I had to die cut allllll the colors. NO joke–You should see my pile–I die cut for over an hour 😄! I just wanted everything ready and available to tinker around with. So glad I did!

I decided to design my pattern in the same color order, but I went in columns and snaked it back up and down. So in the end, it looks random, but if you really stop and look, you’ll see I went in the same order. I have always loved those scrap quilts people make and this has a bit of that random feel to me–albeit all cut the same 😉.

The sentiments are from Simple Strips-Crafty (so fitting, right?)and from Mini Strips- Hello Add Ons. OH and I used the Pierced Grid Cutting Plate die (you can purchase separately) as my background–I will be using this one often! Love that subtle texture!

Next up, I used one of the Maps in the kit to create this card with Tropical Punch, Dijon and Raspberry Sorbet!

Different than I would normally whip up, but I thought it had that homey, cozy feel! The TE Maps – Pieced Patterns in the kit really make this QUICK to do and quite cathartic! The trick is to have all your pieces cut and just have fun putting the puzzle together! 🙂

The Hello is from Big Hello and the Simple Strip is Simple Strips – Crafty again. I wish I was under this “quilt” right now! 🙂

Lastly, just one more quick card I made. This one is completely random and I had a quick window to make it, but I am looking forward to making more because I have sooooo many pieces! Hooray!

The sentiments on this one is the Bold Birthday Die and the Bold Birthday Backer. Hopefully my son’s friend liked it! 🙂

These are so fun to make!! 🙂 If you don’t have the TE Sticky Sheets, there are some in the kit. However, I definitely recommend grabbing an extra pack–I used them often! Oh and the TE Maps – Pieced Patterns also come in the kit, but know they are consumables so you may want more of those too!
