Taylored Expressions-February Card Kit!

Happy Tuesday! Its the end of February already, believe it or not! That means today is a new kit release at Taylored Expressions! This is a fun one full of natural goodness–It’s the Whimsical Wings Cardmaking Kit!

My first card includes the moths you create with the kit (Stamps, stencils and dies) and the background you can purchase separately called Lush Greenery Background. Oh goodness, this background is dynamite and a great accent to this fun kit!

I stamped the Lush Greenery Background in Avocado, Dijon and Pineapple to create the different colors. I just sort of wing it (not pun intended), but I do recommend being mindful of your ink pads just so you don’t get the darker ink on the lighter one. I find getting the lighter on the darker yellow isn’t a big deal, at least in my experience. 😉

For the sentiment, I used the Simple Strips-Thanks sentiments. Seemed perfect for this card! 🙂 The moths are Dragon Fruit, Jalapeño, Dijon. I also think these would be fun sprayed with the Unicorn Sparkle spray, but I thought of that after I adhered them with foam tape. Gah! 🙂

Next up, we have the Whimsical Wings foiled! I used the TE Silver Shimmer Fun Foil on the Foil It – Whimsical Wings.

The Signature Hello die is in the kit, however if you’re interested, the Signature Hello Backer die is sold separately.

I used the Pierced Circles cutting plate and the Rounded Rectangle Stacklets. I added some of the original Drip Drops, but the ones you can now purchase outside the kit, would be lovely! They are called: Bits & Pieces – Glossy White Rhinestones.

I love how whimsy and simple this looks. Again, not that it was easy to get to this design 😂, but it is for sure, always fun to have that journey!! 💛

Have fun creating with these flyers! And fun fact: A group of moths is sometimes referred to as an eclipse! 🙂

Here’s the scoop from TE:

The Whimsical Wings Kit is $69, is packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker, and incudes:

  • Whimsical Wings Stamp & Stencil Combo
  • Whimsical Wings Coordinating Die
  • Signature Hello die
  • The Insiders – Whimsical Wings
  • True Colors Inspiration Cards (set of 4)
Most kit items are not available to purchase individually.
Limited quantity available.

Taylored Expressions-Second Chance Release!

Happy Tuesday! It’s an exciting one as this release is always a fave of mine–It’s the Second Chance release over at Taylored Expressions! In case you missed things when they were offered as exclusive gifts and wanted one, this is for you! I also enjoy it because there are always new things to go along with the previous things–making everything even better–when it was great to begin with!

First up, let’s enjoy the Big Cheers Cling & Clear Combo! I am a huge fan of large words–stamps and dies and now… there is a die for this one- Big Cheers Die–Which makes it even better! This also features the new Signature Cocktails Stamp & Stencil Combo which was super fun to use–I love how these colors turned out!

I actually die cut the word Cheers out because I thought I’d use it just raised up, but it didn’t look as great as the stamped ombre word, so I went with that and added some stitching, of course. You could also easily add Simple Strip to bring this for celebrating a specific accomplishment or occasion.

I love layers of stencils to add all the little details and using the TE Detail Blender Brushes make this WAY easy to do now!

Next up, we have the  Giftables Cute Carton! Along with that, I also used the new Take Two – Pretty Polka Stencil which makes quick work of covering the carton pieces with a stencil!

I used the rainbow die that is included with the Giftables Cute Carton to make a window and then I added Mini M&M’s behind it! Oh so cute! The cute little tag is made with the now for purchase Little Bits – Rainbow Coin and the newly released Coin Companions! The Coin dies are so fun and I can’t wait to use them more now! Too cute!

And lastly here is the new Woodland Ferns die–along with the new Mini-Strips-Sympathy. These actually pair swimmingly together. I die cut the Woodland Ferns and then blended some inks on before putting them on the embossed panel.

For this, I blended on Sour Gummy, Dijon, Pineapple and Jalapeño. The Embossing folder is Embossing Folder – Cable Knit.

These are the cards to make ahead and the cards we unfortunately always need.

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions. See my links below  🙂

This next cards use all the shamrocks!

Alllllll the good luck! Plus, I used the cutting plates from the previous releases that go swimmingly with anything 🙂

Shamrock Die + Lucky Clover Background stencil— he is so cute!

Background is created with the previously released Quilting Texture Die–a new staple for sure!

Since I had a few shamrocks left, I thought this would be a fun rainbowtastic way to use them with the Oversized Lucky Print Die!

Taylored Expressions-First Card Kit of 2024!

Hello! I don’t know about you, but I am stunned it’s the end of January! HOW? Wow is all I can say! It’s been a busy month!

The first card kit for 2024 is releasing today at Taylored Expressions! This Pattern Play Kit is one of those kits you could just have fun for all the weeks and months ahead! Love it!

My first card, I had to die cut allllll the colors. NO joke–You should see my pile–I die cut for over an hour 😄! I just wanted everything ready and available to tinker around with. So glad I did!

I decided to design my pattern in the same color order, but I went in columns and snaked it back up and down. So in the end, it looks random, but if you really stop and look, you’ll see I went in the same order. I have always loved those scrap quilts people make and this has a bit of that random feel to me–albeit all cut the same 😉.

The sentiments are from Simple Strips-Crafty (so fitting, right?)and from Mini Strips- Hello Add Ons. OH and I used the Pierced Grid Cutting Plate die (you can purchase separately) as my background–I will be using this one often! Love that subtle texture!

Next up, I used one of the Maps in the kit to create this card with Tropical Punch, Dijon and Raspberry Sorbet!

Different than I would normally whip up, but I thought it had that homey, cozy feel! The TE Maps – Pieced Patterns in the kit really make this QUICK to do and quite cathartic! The trick is to have all your pieces cut and just have fun putting the puzzle together! 🙂

The Hello is from Big Hello and the Simple Strip is Simple Strips – Crafty again. I wish I was under this “quilt” right now! 🙂

Lastly, just one more quick card I made.  This one is completely random and I had a quick window to make it, but I am looking forward to making more because I have sooooo many pieces! Hooray!

The sentiments on this one is the Bold Birthday Die and the Bold Birthday Backer. Hopefully my son’s friend liked it! 🙂

These are so fun to make!! 🙂 If you don’t have the TE Sticky Sheets, there are some in the kit. However, I definitely recommend grabbing an extra pack–I used them often! Oh and the TE Maps – Pieced Patterns also come in the kit, but know they are consumables so you may want more of those too!

Here’s the scoop from TE:

The Pieced Patterns Cardmaking Kit retails for $57, is packaged in a zippered pouch with a custom sticker, and includes:
  • Pieced Patterns – Squares die
  • Pieced Patterns – Triangles die
  • Four Square 6×6 Background stamp
  • Sticky Sheets (set of 10 sheets)
  • TE Maps – Pieced Patterns

Taylored Expressions-Sweet Treats!

Is it cold where you live? The Midwest has gotten the one-two punch with lots of snow and then frigid temps–burrrrr! What better way to spend these cold days that to craft!? Yay! Today  Taylored Expressionshas some new fun for creating Valentine treats! These are perfect for classmates, coworkers, neighbors, friends and even leave one for the mail carrier!

There is a fun Kids Valentine kit over at TE, be sure to check that out, but today, I’m sharing others here–Sweet sweet Strawberries and these adorable flower pops!

These Strawberries are created with the Berry Sweet Treat and the tags are made with The Berry Best stamp set–eeeeeep! These are so cute and the perfect size to tuck a treat into–or several! (You can fit a few Dove Chocolates in here or several Tootsie Rolls, to name a couple 😉)

And TE also has these Berry Baskets available to purchase! I need to grab a few more of those because I think they’d be fun for lots of fun ahead!

I stamped my Strawberries with the seed stamps from the Berry Sweet set, but honestly, they are adorable just plain too! I love these so much! They are easy to die cut and then tie up with twine. (I recommend going back through all the holes and weave them through twice–super easy and it makes them tie up beautifully in a snap!)

Pretty sure I used every TE pink, red and green to create these cuties!

As I was making them and die cutting the stem, I realized they would make a fun Tomato! So I made those too :). The Mini Strip is from the Mini Strips-Floral set.

This one makes a cute little 3 x 3 Valentine or note. 😊🍅

Next up, we have the I’m a Sucker for You! These could not be easier too! I stamped mine with different background stamps (Chicken Wire Background, Rainbows All Around Background, Ticks & Tacks Background) but you could easily leave them plain and in bunches or in singles–adorable!

I doubled up the leaves, but one die cut is plenty. 🙂

I had to add a sweet bee from the The Bee’s Knees Stamp & Stencil Combo too. 🙂

Tootsie Pops, Blow Pops or fancy lollipops all work! Ohhhh remember those layered ones–pastel colors in rows? Those would be fun too! 🙂 And now I can’t stop singing that song! 🙂

I recommend using High Tack Double-Sided Tape, 1/4″ to quickly put these together–truly stick and done! 🙂

These are so fun to make!! 🙂

All these products are available now over at Taylored Expressions. See my links below  🙂
